Rare Atom add Thai duelist Potter to roster

by Juandi April 3, 2026

Former FULL SENSE standout Potter heads to China for his first international stint, joining Rare Atom’s expanding seven-man roster.

CHINARare Atom have announced the signing of Sutthichai “Potter” Promsrikaew from Team NKT. The Thai duelist is set for his first stint abroad after spending his entire career competing with Thai teams since first emerging in 2022.

However, while the signing has now been confirmed, it remains unclear when Potter will make his official debut for Rare Atom. The Chinese side have expanded to a seven-man roster, and Potter was not included in the lineup fielded for their opening appearance in the China National Competition Season 6 Professional Division this week.

Potter’s most notable run came in 2025 with FULL SENSE, where he played a major role in one of the team’s strongest seasons in VALORANT. FULL SENSE claimed the Challengers SEA Split 1 title, followed that up with a third-place finish in Split 2, and then secured runners-up in Split 3. Their results across the circuit ultimately booked them a place at VCT Ascension Pacific, which was held on home soil in Bangkok.

Although FULL SENSE were unable to turn that momentum into a deep run at Ascension and ultimately exited in 7th-8th place, the team still ended the year with several notable results. They lifted the Predator League Thailand 2026 title and also won the Southeast Asia qualifier for SOOP VALORANT League 2025, earning a place at the international main event in Seoul.

Rare Atom’s decision to bring Potter in comes as part of a wider rebuild around a mixture of returning names, recent pickups, and younger prospects. Of the core that represented the organization at VCT Ascension CN 2025, only three players have been retained moving forward.

Among them are Zhou “Guran” Mingyan and Wang “Midnight” Yingjie, two of Rare Atom’s longest-serving players who have remained with the team since 2024. The pair were central figures during Rare Atom’s back-to-back runners-up finishes at VCT Ascension CN in both 2024 and 2025. The third retained player is Feng “nnono” Haolun, who joined the squad around Ascension 2025 and will continue into the new season.

The rest of the lineup has been filled out with a number of intriguing additions. Chen “Croudy” Zilong is one of the new names joining the roster. He previously drew attention with TUMT Shark, notably appearing at APAC Predator League 2025 and SOOP Elite Cup 2024. Since then, he has also spent time with Dragon Ranger Gaming during CN Evolution Series Act 3 last year before appearing with Rare Atom in Evolution Series Act 1 this year, where he played in the controller role.

Two of the more high-profile acquisitions, however, are Liu “Z1Yan” Zihan and Zhu “Au1” Yihao.

Z1Yan joins after spending time with JDG Esports since late 2023. During that period, he was part of the roster that won CN Evolution Series Act 3 and also helped JDG secure a 5th-6th place finish in VCT CN Stage 2 2024. His arrival gives Rare Atom a player with both experience and pedigree from China’s upper domestic level.

Meanwhile, Au1 arrives as one of the youngest and most intriguing additions in the squad. The 19-year-old joins on loan from All Gamers, having only recently experienced the highest level of competition in China. Just two months ago, Au1 was part of the All Gamers roster that won VCT CN Kickoff and qualified for VALORANT Masters Santiago, where the team eventually finished in 5th-6th place. Before breaking into AG’s main team, he developed through the organization’s academy system.

For now, both Potter and Croudy have yet to make an official appearance for Rare Atom in the ongoing China National Competition, including the team’s opening match against UR Esports. Whether Potter will be immediately integrated into the starting five or eased in over time remains to be seen
