Team Secret say goodbye to head coach Rbtx

Rbtx exits ahead of VCT Pacific Stage 2, leaving Team Secret yet to confirm their next head coach.

PHILIPPINES – Team Secret have officially parted ways with head coach Jose "Rbtx" Jamir, marking another major change for the organization ahead of the upcoming VCT Pacific Stage 2 campaign. His departure follows the earlier exit of longtime Team Secret figure Jessie Cristy "JessieVash" Cuyco at the start of the month, leaving the team with more questions to answer before returning to league play.

At the time of writing, Team Secret have yet to announce who will take over the head coaching position for Stage 2.

Rbtx first joined Team Secret in January 2025 after spending two seasons with Oasis Gaming, one of the Philippines’ most prominent domestic VALORANT teams in the tier-two scene. He initially came in as an analyst, while also helping coach Team Secret’s academy roster competing in Challengers SEA. His work behind the scenes eventually saw him move closer to the main roster setup, before being promoted to head coach ahead of the 2026 season following the departure of Ji "meow" Dong-jun.

However, his time leading the main roster came during one of Team Secret’s most challenging periods in VCT Pacific. The team struggled to find consistency from the start of the year, exiting Kickoff in 11-12th place after an early elimination. Their Stage 1 campaign did not bring a major turnaround either, as they finished 9-10th with their only win of the stage coming in a 2-1 victory over Gen.G in Week 5. Team Secret also fell short in the EWC Pacific Qualifier, where they exited the event in 10th place.

“Thank you Team Secret, for the opportunity to be part of this journey. I'm grateful for everything I learned and for the chance to contribute to the team's growth. I gave my all every step of the way, and I'm proud of the effort, progress, and experiences we shared,” Rbtx shared on Twitter.

For the time being, Rbtx remains active in the coaching space as the head coach of Team Philippines for the 2026 Esports Nations Cup. The Philippines have received a direct invite to the main event, which is scheduled to take place this November.
