The removal of Lee “LEXY” Xavier from the active roster is the second change the Singaporean side has made in the past week. Former Orgless (ex-Reality Rift) players Freyr and Jinggg join the fold.
Team SMG announced earlier today that they have moved Lee “LEXY” Xavier out from the team’s active roster. The Singaporean player will be making room for two new additions: Wang “Jinggg” Jie and Ingram “Freyr” Tan. This concludes LEXY’s 11-month stint on the main roster for Team SMG, which began in July 2020. During his time with the team, LEXY garnered much-deserved attention, being one of the team’s highest performers, winning TheGym Singapore Invitational, AE League: Conqueror, Cyber Games Arena Pacific Open+, and a slew of runner-up placements in the VCT 2021 Stage 1 and 2.
This will be the second alteration for the Singaporean team this week. Team SMG parted ways with Javier “Egoist” Chua on June 24. The 20-year-old stepped down to participate in his mandatory military service.
“Jinggg will join our team as a Duelist with his explosive aim, while Freyr will lock down the sites and flanks with as our new Sentinel. Jinggg and Freyr have been training hard with the team for the past week and will be making their Team SMG debut this Friday at the VALORANT Challengers Tour Stage 3 Open Qualifiers!
It has been an amazing run with our VALORANT 2.0 roster. With this, LEXY will be moved to our inactive roster.”

The signing of Jinggg and Freyr by Team SMG marks the duo’s return to an official team after almost five months of playing under the Orgless (ex-Reality Rift) banner. They were formerly part of Reality Rift’s active roster until March 2, when the organization released its roster. Touted as one of, if not, the best player in Singapore, Jinggg is definitely an exciting prospect and a player to look out for.
