Jusei “TORANECO” Saito, a former representative of SCARZ and Japan at Ascension, has now become a part of the on-air team for the Japanese broadcast in the coming season.
JAPAN – Jusei “TORANECO” Saito is the latest addition to the official Japanese broadcast team for the 2024 season, it has been announced. The up-and-coming player turned on-air talent will make his inaugural appearance in VALORANT Challengers Japan Split 1, starting on February 3.
“I would like to make the most of my previous experience as a player and do my best to convey the fun of VALORANT, so please look forward to it,” TORANECO expresses his enthusiasm for joining the JP on-air team.
Having previously been a member of SCARZ, TORANECO is best known for his victory in the 2023 VALORANT Challengers Japan Split 2 and representing the sub-region at VCT Ascension Pacific. As a Controller player, he played a key role in SCARZ reaching the grand finals in Bangkok, although they fell short to eventual victors Bleed Esports. Following the end of the season, TORANECO transitioned to a content creator position within the SCARZ organization.

As TORANECO makes the switch to on-air talent, he will accompany spectators through the chaos and drama of the games, alongside well-known figures from the domestic Japanese scene. His impressive resume from his playing days adds depth to his role in providing commentary and analysis during broadcasts.
VALORANT Esports Japan has not yet revealed the complete roster of on-air talent that will be presenting the action for the upcoming VALORANT Challengers Japan Split 1.
