SOUTH KOREA – VALORANT Champions Seoul kicks off this week on Thursday, August 1, bringing the season-ending world championship to the Pacific region for the first time. Here’s everything you need to know.
Taking place from August 1-25, the 4th VALORANT World Championship will be divided into three parts: the Group Stage, Playoffs, and Finals.
The first two phases will be held at COEX Shinhan Card Artium Seoul, the home of the VCT Pacific International League. The action for the final three days will shift to a larger venue at the INSPIRE Arena in Incheon.

Sixteen teams have qualified for VALORANT Champions Seoul by either finishing in the top three of their respective International Leagues or accumulating Championship Points throughout the season.
The teams have been divided into four groups of four, competing in a double-elimination, best-of-three format from August 1-11. The top two teams from each group will advance to the playoffs, which will take place from August 14-18, also using a best-of-three, double-elimination format.
The top four teams will enjoy a four-day break before the action resumes from August 23-25 at the INSPIRE Arena. The first day will feature the reveal of a new VALORANT Agent. Games will start at 16:00 SGT (GMT+8) during the first two phases and at 15:00 for the final three days.
Exciting matchups are set to unfold from the start, with particular interest in the clash between Masters Shanghai champions Gen.G and Masters Madrid champions Sentinels, as well as a rematch between Paper Rex and G2 Esports, who will face off early in Groups B and D, respectively.
All eyes will also be on Talon Esports for their international debut, now bolstered by young talent Papaphat “Primmie” Sriprapha. Meanwhile, DRX will be hoping to shake off the bitter disappointment of their ill-fated attempts to qualify for Masters Madrid and Shanghai, seeking to prove their place among the top teams with the help of their new, younger players.
A total of US$2,250,000 will be on offer in prizemoney at VALORANT Champions Seoul, with the eventual victors taking home a million dollars as well as etching their name into the history books. The prize pool will be distributed among the 16 teams, in addition to revenue sharing from the 2024 VALORANT Champions bundle.
