Alter Ego Celeste of Indonesia enter the playoffs as the strongest-looking side, riding a dominating 24-match winning run that dates all the way back to June before suffering their first loss, 2-0, to MAD Army in September’s Legion of Valkyries competition, dropping their overall match victory percentage to 98,18%. The reigning queens entered VCT Game Changers SEA: FSL Elite as the only squad to remain unbeaten since the inaugural FSL Open in March.
Alter Ego Celeste topped the circuit standings, finishing it with a total of 60 points – a significant lead over Nigma Galaxy Female (formerly known as Galaxy Racer Female), who sit in second place with 42 points – and are heading into the final event as the favorite. The Indonesian powerhouse will face the Philippines’ The Capitol Arise (previously known as AEOSS Arise) in the quarter-finals, who advanced through FSL Overtime after defeating Hashira SR in the match decider.
In the upper half of the double-elimination BO3 playoff bracket, BIG SCYTHE will face off against MAD Army, who are formerly representing Oasis Gaming Aqua. The Thai team is coming off a triumph at Legion of Valkyries 2021 after defeating both Alter Ego Celeste and NGX Female in the process.
While for Nigma Galaxy Female, the second-highest ranked team in attendance, are set to take on VLT Asteria, who just got signed to Velocity Gaming early this month.
The last upper-echelon matchup to close out the first round will be Singapore’s Renatus White against Aricat Aresta, who will try to extend their recent fine run of form with a triumph at FSL Overtime.
