After Team Vitality claimed victory at VCT EMEA Kickoff, Riot Games conducted the first-round draw for VALORANT Masters Bangkok.
THAILAND – The Swiss Stage matchups for the opening round of VALORANT Masters Bangkok have been set. The draw took place live on stream immediately following the VCT EMEA Kickoff Grand Finals at Riot Games Arena in Berlin, Germany.
Ahead of the draw, the eight teams competing in Southeast Asia’s first international VALORANT event were divided into two pools—one for regional top seeds from Kickoff events and the other for second-seeded teams.
Among the high-profile matchups are DRX vs. Sentinels and EDward Gaming vs. Team Liquid. Initially, Team Vitality were set to face Sentinels, but with the next draw leaving DRX and T1, and draw rules preventing same-region matchups in the first round, adjustments were made—placing Sentinels against Pacific’s top seed DRX and T1 against EMEA’s first seed.

DRX will have a shot at redemption against Sentinels after their last meeting at VALORANT Champions Seoul, where the North American powerhouse sent them to the lower bracket in a swift 2-0.
Meanwhile, EDward Gaming vs. Team Liquid sets up a special moment for Wan “CHICHOO” Shunzhi, as he gets to face his idol, Ayaz “nAts” Akhmetshin—a matchup CHICHOO had hoped for when asked during a post-match press conference at the 2025 VCT CN Kickoff.
VALORANT Masters Bangkok kicks off on February 20 at UOB Live Arena, with the Swiss stage running for the first four days. The second round will be drawn after the first, as teams with two wins advance to the playoffs, while those with two losses are eliminated. The Playoffs will run from February 27 to March 2, featuring a four-team double-elimination bracket.
