Teams will be working around the clock to identify players that can improve their respective squads ahead of the international leagues.
SINGAPORE – The highly anticipated VCT Mid-Season Transfer Window has officially opened, providing partnered teams with an opportunity to review their performances and make necessary adjustments to bolster their setup ahead of the inaugural VCT international leagues. The transfer window, which commenced yesterday March 6, at 9 AM South Korea time, will remain open until March 25.
This transfer window is a crucial time for teams such as Cloud9, who are expected to make the most of this transfer window after parting ways with its star player Jaccob “yay” Whiteaker. Additionally, the North American powerhouse is reportedly no longer featuring Anthony “vanity” Malaspina on its starting roster, as reported by Max “Purest” Katz.
During this transfer window, teams are permitted to make changes to their roster, including adding new players. However, it is important to note that any new team member will only become eligible to compete in the league once a valid visa and work permit has been obtained. Once the transfer window closes on March 25, teams will not be able to make any further changes to their competitive roster until the next transfer window.
Participating teams have been required to arrive in South Korea in the middle of this month to prepare for the league. With the VCT Pacific league starting on March 25, the VCT EMEA league commencing on March 27, and the VCT Americas league kicking off on April 1, teams have limited time to identify potential transfers and make the necessary arrangements to ensure a seamless transition.
