The stage is set for the final stage of Southeast Asia VALORANT Challengers. Only two teams will book their ticket to Masters Berlin, set to begin on September 9th.
Update: The tournament has been delayed by one day, with group stages taking place between 13th Aug – 16th Aug.
VALORANT Champions Tour has revealed the opening matchups of the VCT Southeast Asia Stage 3 Challengers Playoffs as well as the group stage distribution of the US$100,000 tournament that would see two of Southeast Asia’s finest teams book their tickets to Berlin for the third Masters tournament of the year; their final chance to secure a Champions spot outright.
The group stage portion of the competition will see sixteen teams who earned their place at the event through their respective regional event. They have been distributed into four groups of four, played in a best-of-two (BO2), round-robin format on August 12-15.
On August 19-22, a playoff bracket containing the top two teams from each group will be held. All matches will be best-of-threes (BO3s), with the exception of the grand final, which will be a best-of-five (BO5).
The VCT Southeast Asia Stage 3 Challengers Playoffs Groups are:
Bren Esports, the highest-ranked Filipino squad, will face Taiwan’s CBT Gaming in the first opening round. The second wave of matchups features Week 3 champions EGO against Sharper Esports from Vietnam and Thailand, respectively. Meanwhile, ONIC Esports will play FULL SENSE in the next game. Later that day, the Masters 2 Reykjavik representative, X10 Esports, will take on Galaxy Racer as the final match of the day where both teams look to continue their upward trajectories.
Bren Esports, one of the most challenging teams to face in the group stage, headlines Group A alongside Sharper Esports, EGO, and CBT Gaming. Sharper Esport may have struggled at times, but they soon regained their form in the last week of VCT Thailand.

Meanwhile, Group B received the honor of being named this Stage’s “Group of Death”. The group features Indonesia’s top seed, ONIC Esports, together with FULL SENSE and Paper Rex, as well as Taiwan’s Five Ace e-Sports. X10 Esports, the Masters 2 Rejkavik representative, will be joined in Group C by BOOM Esports and Team Big BAAM, Indonesia’s and Vietnam’s highest-ranked teams, respectively, and Galaxy Racer.
Group D, or is dubbed “The Group of Life” will start on August 13. It contains Alter Ego, Oasis Gaming, CERBERUS Esports, and UwU in the same group, which four of them managed to dodge the highest-ranked teams in the tournaments, at least until the Playoffs stage.
