Bleed Esports owner has confirmed that the team will be making a roster change for the upcoming Split.
SINGAPORE – Bleed Esports are on the verge of a roster change, as confirmed in a recent Tweet by the organization’s owner and founder, Mervyn Goh. He revealed that the team “will be making a roster change for the upcoming Split.”
The announcement follows BLEED’s underwhelming performance at VCT Pacific KICKOFF, concluding at the bottom of the standings with losses to T1 and Global Esports. The outcome, especially in their last match against GE, sparked discussion within the community, primarily due to the unusual choice of their star player, Jaccob “yay” Whiteaker, opting for Viper instead of a more aggressive or entry agent.
However, in a statement to ONE Esports TH, Natchaphon “sScary” Matarat clarified that yay himself proposed the idea, and it was backed by favorable scrim results. Furthermore, the Thai player added that “other problems” were at play, preventing all five players from reaching their full potential.

This will be the second roster change for Bleed Esports following their win at VCT Ascension Pacific last year when they picked up former OpTic player Jaccob “yay” Whiteaker and former X10 Esports player Javier “Egoist” Chua in place of Tyler “juicy” Aeria and Marcus “nephh” Tan.
The timing of the change and the specific player to be replaced are still undisclosed. However, there is a strong indication that their North American import, yay, is set to remain part of the team for the upcoming Stage 1 event in Seoul, scheduled to take place from April 6 to May 12.
Bleed Esports currently have the following roster:
- 🇸🇬 Derrick “Deryeon” Yee
- 🇸🇬 Javier “Egoist” Chua
- 🇻🇳 Ngô “crazyguy” Anh
- 🇹🇭 Nutchaphon “sScary” Matarat
- 🇺🇸 Jaccob “yay” Whiteaker
- 🇩🇪 Nikola “LEGIJA” Ninić (Head coach)
- 🇸🇬 Sushant “Ominous” Jha (Analyst)
