20-year-old Eroll Jule “EJAY” Delfin is no longer a part of Bren Esports as the player has decided to center his attention on his education, the organization has announced.
PHILIPPINES – Eroll Jule “EJAY” Delfin stepped down from Bren Esports to focus on his studies, the organization announced on Monday. The move puts an end to a nine-month tenure under the yellow and black banner, which started at the end of last year when the organization assembled a new VALORANT squad following the departure of Jessie “JessieVash” Cristy Cuyco and co. to Team Secret. EJAY has confirmed in a tweet that he will be back soon on the server.
“Your mad duelist skills and breathtaking clutches have won over fans. And while we’re hoping to see you fly high once again, it is unfortunate that we need to part ways for now. Thank you for the good times, BREN EJAY! We will keep rooting for you! ” the official announcement reads.

EJAY’s departure comes less than a month after a dismal end to the team’s BLEED Summer Open campaign, which ended in a heartbreaking fashion with two losses over Gaimin Esports and No Namers, resulting in a 9-12th finish.
During his stay with Bren Esports, they were regular contenders in the upper echelons of Filipino VALORANT, qualifying for both of the main events of VCT Philippines Challengers this season, though the team still found themselves unable to net a trophy win. In an effort to improve the team’s performance, Bren Esports made several changes along the way by bringing in former SV Empire duo Yousef “Hotsauz” El-Yousef and Boggs “Symbol” Ramos.
Despite finishing 5-6th, they did however manage to record 2-0 victories over Rex Regum Qeon, Action PH, and ALPHA Esports Pro early in the most recent VCT Philippines Stage 2 Challengers, suggesting the roster may have held some potential.
Furthermore, Bren Esports manager Ishan “ggishan” Adolfo stated today that as of the moment, the team are “not looking for any new agent or replacement”, raising further speculations on who would fill in the gap due to EJAY’s departure.
With EJAY stepping down, Bren Esports are now down to four active members:
- 🇵🇭 Xavier “xavi8k” Juan
- 🇵🇭 Zack “BraiNfreeZe” Bajarias
- 🇵🇭 Yousef “Hotsauz” El-Yousef
- 🇵🇭 Boggs “Symbol” Ramos
- 🇸🇬 See “Evo” Wey Kang (Coach)
