VALO2ASIA Awards 2025 - Panel of Judges

by VALO2ASIA December 11, 2025

Brought to you by Pulsar, the 2025 edition of the VALO2ASIA Awards brings together a 49-member judging panel to determine the very best of the best in Asia-Pacific.

The Panel of Judges has been part of the VALO2ASIA Awards since the very first edition in 2021. Members are invited directly by the VALO2ASIA team from among key VALORANT industry figures in APAC. Invitations are only extended to individuals who closely follow the scene, understand performance narratives across the entire season, and can approach voting with context, responsibility, and care.

In the early years, the panel was made up mostly of broadcast talent and analysts. Over time, it has expanded to also include coaches, former players, and third-party media representatives. Every judge is expected to approach the process neutrally, regardless of personal background, relationships, or regional ties. As a media outlet, VALO2ASIA holds only a single vote on the panel, represented by Editor-in-Chief Juandi.

For the first three editions in 2021, 2022, and 2023, the panel size was capped at 20 members. In 2024, it was expanded to 35 (34 plus 1) to bring in more perspectives and reduce the weight of any single vote. In 2025, the panel has grown again, with 50 voices (49+1). The reason the panel is referred to as 49 plus 1 is simple. The additional “1” comes from the public vote in the People’s Choice category, which gives the community its own seat at the table and completes the panel at 50.

This year, 17 new figures join the panel, while the remaining 32 have served as judges in last year’s or previous editions. This balance of new and returning members helps maintain continuity while also refreshing the range of viewpoints represented.

All submitted ballots go through multiple rounds of verification carried out by an impartial team with no conflict of interest, using both manual and automated checks. Judges may request access to the raw tally for transparency purposes, but the identities of individual voters will remain anonymous to avoid bias, outside pressure, or undue influence.

Each year, we reassess whether every member of the judging panel is still the right fit to be invited back. We remain committed to ensuring that every vote is cast from a neutral standpoint, regardless of personal connections or regional affiliation. By gradually expanding the panel, we are able to produce a healthier voting average, reduce the impact of extreme outliers, and deliver results that better reflect the region as a whole.

We are continually working to bring in more representation from every APAC VALORANT region. We recognize that the current panel still does not fully capture every corner of the scene, but each year we review, adjust, and add new voices to move closer to a panel that reflects the full breadth of Asia-Pacific. While Pulsar presents this year’s edition of the VALO2ASIA Awards, the judging process itself is managed entirely by VALO2ASIA. The sponsor has no influence over the judge selection process or the final results.
