Global Esports’ WRONSKI will play no part at the upcoming VCT LOCK//IN as he has to return to Australia, the player has announced.
AUSTRALIA – Global Esports will have to play without Michael “WRONSKI” Wronski for their debut at VCT LOCK//IN, as he has to return to Australia due to personal issues outside the game. This is a blow to Global Esports, as the team was looking forward to making a solid debut with their international lineup in São Paulo, Brazil.
“Bad news to share. Unfortunately, I won’t be able to be in Brazil for VCT LOCK//IN since I have to travel back to Australia due to some personal issues outside game. I’m looking forward to cheering on my team and sending them all my love and energy.” the former ORDER player wrote on Twitter.
It is noteworthy that Talon Esports will also be without one of their star players, Patiphan “Patiphan” Chaiwong, due to wrist surgery, thereby making them the second team from the Pacific to rely on their sixth player.
In light of WRONSKI’s absence, Global Esports will be hoping that this does not dent their chances in the Omega bracket of the tournament, where they are seeded alongside the likes of Team Secret, ZETA DIVISION, 100 Thieves, Sentinels, Fnatic, and others.
In their first match on February 24 at 1 AM SGT (UTC+8), Jordan “AYRIN” He’s men will take on Team Vitality, whose duelist Karel “Twisten” Ašenbrener has pledged to donate 25€ (~US$26) for every kill with a shorty made by any player at the VCT LOCK//IN tournament.
Therefore, Global Esports’ roster for VCT LOCK//IN will be:
- 🇨🇦 Jordan “AYRIN” He
- 🇰🇷 Park “Bazzi” Jun-ki
- 🇮🇳 Ganesh “SkRossi” Gangadhar
- 🇮🇳 Abhirup “Lightningfast” Choudhury
- 🇮🇩 Cahya “Monyet” Nugraha
- 🇰🇷 Kim “t3xture” Na-ra
- 🇰🇷 Hong “Eraser” Chang-pyo (Head coach)
- 🇬🇧 Peter “Spin” Bradford (Assistant coach)
- 🇬🇧 Morgan “BigTime” Jay (Assistant coach)
