VCT Pacific returns this week to crown the season champions and determine the four Pacific representatives for VALORANT Champions Seoul.
SOUTH KOREA – VCT Pacific Stage 2 is set to begin on June 15, featuring an eleven-team competition using the same two round-robin groups for the Regular Season. Matches will once again be hosted at Seoul’s COEX Artium, with tickets available through the Interpark ticketing platform.
Winning Stage 2 will be significantly more important than the previous two competitions this season, as it will crown the 2024 VCT Pacific season champions.
Unlike Stage 1, where teams played against the other groups, Stage 2 will see teams competing within their groups from June 15 to July 8 to determine the overall top six advancing to the Playoffs. DRX currently lead with an unbeaten 5-0 record, while Bleed Esports lag behind with a 1-5 record carried over from Stage 1.
Come July 12-21, the Playoffs will take place featuring a hybrid-elimination, best-of-three bracket, except for the best-of-five Lower Final and Grand Final.
The top two teams from the Regular Season will receive advantageous seeding directly to the double-elimination bracket. Meanwhile, the other four teams will start in the single-elimination bracket, meaning two teams will face immediate elimination after their first-round loss before the competition transitions into the double-elimination format.
The top three teams from the Season Playoffs will secure spots at VALORANT Champions Seoul, joined by the fourth slot awarded to the other team with the most Championship Points.
In the opening week of VCT Pacific Stage 2, we can look forward to some exciting matchups. This includes VCT Masters Shanghai champions Gen.G, who will face off against domestic rivals T1, now bolstered by Kim “stax” Gu-taek. Meanwhile, Paper Rex will take on Talon Esports, renewing their rivalry from the first round of the Mid-Season Playoffs.
In addition, Team Secret will have both Bleed Esports and Global Esports lined up for the week to debut their new roster featuring former RRQ player James “2GE” Goopio and former Oasis Gaming player Bhreyanne “Wild0reoo” Reyes. Cahya “Monyet” Nugraha will be making his debut donning the RRQ jersey against DetonatioN FocusMe in the first week, while DRX will be hoping to maintain their undefeated Regular Season record with the return of Cho “Flashback” Min-hyuk in their match against ZETA DIVISION.
