yoman leaves Global Esports after a disappointing Pacific 2026 run.
INDIA – Global Esports have officially announced the departure of Chae “yoman” Young-mun, ending his brief tenure with the organization after joining the starting roster in May.
The Korean initiator was brought in alongside Joseph “ban” Oh as part of Global Esports’ attempt to rebuild their lineup mid-season. However, the revamped roster struggled to find consistency.
Despite showing early promise with a hard-fought win over Stage 1 champions RRQ, the momentum quickly faded. The team failed to capitalize on that success and went on to suffer consecutive losses to Team Secret, Gen.G, Nongshim RedForce, and DRX, leaving them unable to climb out of the bottom of the standings and finish 11-12th place.

On an individual level, yoman faced a challenging run in the Pacific League, despite previously standing out in tier-two with Nongshim RedForce and Rare Atom thanks to his firepower and tactical leadership as an IGL. Playing primarily in the initiator role throughout Stage 2, he closed the split with a 0.83 VLR rating and 157.9 ACS across 241 rounds.
His departure comes as Global Esports continue rebuilding for the 2026 season, a process that has already involved experimenting with new coaching and player combinations and working closely with coach Hector “FrosT” Rosario, Kale “autumn” Dunne, and Xavier “xavi8k” Juan.
