By extending peri, Gen.G will continue to lean on the stability of their established coaching trio for the 2026 season.
SOUTH KOREA – Gen.G have confirmed that coach Jung “peri” Beom-gi has inked a new one-year deal, keeping the veteran coach with the organization through the 2026 VCT season.
With this extension, Gen.G will continue with the same coaching trio of peri, Kang “solo” Keun-chul, and Kim “HSK” Hae-seong. The team’s full 2026 roster has yet to be finalized. As of now, only Kim “Karon” Won-tae, Kim “t3xture” Na-ra, and Ha “Ash” Hyun-cheol remain under contract, while Jung “Foxy9” Jae-sung has entered restricted free agency. Byeon “Munchkin” Sang-beom is now officially out of Gen.G’s plans for next season, with the in-game leader returning to T1.

peri and solo share a long competitive history, having played side by side on the iconic WeMade FOX lineup in Counter-Strike 1.6 and later competing in VALORANT with PROPARTY and NUTURN Gaming, notably reaching Masters Reykjavík 2021. peri transitioned into coaching in 2022 with ESportsConnected/On Sla2ers, later leading Dplus KIA through the 2023–24 seasons together with solo again.
He joined Gen.G ahead of the 2025 VCT campaign, guiding the roster to podium finishes in Kickoff (3rd) and Stage 1 (2nd). However, the team only qualified for only one international VCT event in 2025, VALORANT Masters Toronto, plus the Esports World Cup, while recording their lowest domestic finish ever at 7-8th in Stage 2.
Gen.G are scheduled to debut their updated roster at the SOOP VALORANT League 2025 from December 2–7.
