Having spent the entirety of 2022 with DRX, MaKo, Rb, Zest, and the coaching staff will continue to carry the blue and white banner in the years to come, following multi-year contract extensions through 2026.
SOUTH KOREA – Kim “MaKo” Myeong-kwan, Goo “Rb” Sang-Min, Kim “Zest” Gi-seok have put pen-to-paper on a new contract that will keep them on DRX through 2026, the South Korean organization has announced on Twitter. In the same announcement, the coaching staff that comprises Pyeon “termi” Seon-ho, Kim “glow” Min-soo, and Kwon “Argency” Soon-woo is also getting a contract extension until 2026. These deals will keep the six members around for the next four seasons.
These new contracts are equal in duration to the team’s arrangement with Kim “stax” Gu-taek, with the in-game leader already committed to DRX until 2026. That leaves Yu “BuZz” Byung-chul and Jung “Foxy9” Jae-sung with contracts expiring in 2024 and 2025, respectively, according to the Global Contract Database.

Rb, stax, and the three coaching staff members are currently the longest-serving members of DRX VS, competing with the roster for over two years following its inception in June 2020 under the Vision Strikers banner. The team quickly cemented its position as title contenders internationally after it went on a record-breaking 103-game winning streak in the greater APAC region until early 2021. MaKo and BuZz then joined in May 2021, while glow transitioned to a coaching position in the team.
DRX have enjoyed a fair amount of success with the VS roster on their books, most notably peaking towards the tail end of 2022, having ended the year with third place at VALORANT Champions, as well as four OFF//SEASON trophies.
DRX still have some time to prepare before kicking off the new VCT season at VCT LOCK//IN in São Paulo, Brazil later this February, where they will come in as one of the big favorites
