As Global Esports are in the process of overhauling their lineup, they have parted ways with Cahya “Monyet” Nugraha.
INDIA – Global Esports have officially wished goodbye to their star player Cahya “Monyet” Nugraha.
“Thank you for everything, Monyet. All the best, you have a bright future ahead of you,” the announcement reads.
The departure of the Indonesian player is the most recent in a series of changes for GE, with their roster narrowed down to just Ganesh “SkRossi” Gangadhar, Abhirup “Lightningfast” Choudhury, and Park “Bazzi” Jun-ki, as per the official Global Contract Database. Nonetheless, the organization has indicated that a full restructuring is on the horizon.
Monyet joined Global Esports when the team gained entry into the VCT Pacific League and chose to assemble a multinational squad representing six different countries. Although he initially played as a primary duelist for his previous team, ONIC G, he transitioned to the role of a Controller upon joining Global Esports.

In the competition held in Seoul, he continued to shine as a Controller player with an impressive VLR rating of 1.13, landing him in fourth place among the likes of something, d4v41, and MaKo. Furthermore, during a face-off against Korean powerhouse DRX, Monyet set a new VCT record for the highest number of kills on a single LAN map, amassing 39 kills across 32 rounds, even though his team ultimately lost in overtime with a score of 15-17.
Global Esports concluded their season at the eighth spot, missing out on the playoff contention and subsequently failing to secure any series in the Last Chance Qualifier. Head coach Hong “Eraser” Chang-pyo was the first member to depart from the India-based organization in late July, followed by Jordan “AYRIN” He and Kim “t3xture” Na-ra during the VCT transfer window this week.
As of now, both Global Esports and Monyet have yet to announce their future plans. However, multiple reports have suggested that Monyet might re-enter the Pacific League competition next season under a new banner.
Global Esports are left with the following members on their books:
- 🇮🇳 Ganesh “SkRossi” Gangadhar (Inactive)
- 🇮🇳 Abhirup “Lightningfast” Choudhury (Inactive)
- 🇰🇷 Park “Bazzi” Jun-ki (Inactive)
