Introducing the VALO2ASIA Awards 2025!
We’re excited to welcome you to the fifth edition of our annual celebration of VALORANT esports in Asia, The VALO2ASIA Awards 2025, brought to you by Pulsar.
What began as a simple list of standout players has grown, year after year, into a regional tradition, a community-driven effort to honor excellence, recognize talent, and document the stories of those shaping the scene. Welcome to The VALO2ASIA Awards 2025!
From December 13 through December 31, we will gradually unveil this year’s award recipients, culminating in the reveal of the Best APAC Player of the Year.
“In a scene that moves fast and forgets even faster, the VALO2ASIA Awards are our way of slowing down for a moment, giving teams, players, and fans something to point to and say this season mattered,” said VALO2ASIA Editor-in-Chief Juandi. “Thank you for letting us tell these stories for a fifth year in a row.”
- Top 20 APAC (Pacific + CN) Players of the Year
- Top 5 Pacific Game Changers of the Year
- Pacific & CN Rookies of the Year
- People’s Choice
At the heart of the Awards is our flagship list, the Top 20 APAC Players of the Year. It brings together the very best of VCT Pacific and VCT CN in a single ranking that reflects how closely these two circuits now sit in terms of level, rivalry, and shared development across the region.
As in previous years, we will also be recognizing our next generation and expanding communities through the Top 5 Pacific Game Changers of the Year and Top 5 Pacific Challengers of the Year.
Game Changers represents our commitment to a more inclusive ecosystem, where more people can participate in esports as players, fans, and professionals. Challengers, meanwhile, is the lifeblood of the competitive structure, shining a light on breakout potential and the hunger that often appears long before the biggest stages and trophies.
For 2025, we are expanding the Awards with new categories. Rookie of the Year will be awarded separately for Pacific and CN, recognizing fresh faces who made a real impact over the course of the season.
Last but not least, we are introducing a fully community-shaped category, People’s Choice, giving fans the chance to vote for the player they believe deserves it most. People’s Choice is our reminder that the story of a season is never written by stats alone. Sometimes, it’s the player who made you stay up till 3 AM, the one clutch you still think about, or the personality that made the whole year more fun to follow.
To celebrate the People’s Choice category, voting milestones will unlock Pulsar mouse-and-mousepad prize bundles:
- At 1,000 total votes, we randomly select 5 winners
- At 5,000 total votes, we randomly select 6 winners from all votes collected up to this point
- At 10,000 total votes, we randomly select 9 winners from all votes collected up to this point
In total, up to 20 voters will win Pulsar gear just by taking part in the People’s Choice vote. Fans can vote once per day during the People’s Choice voting period from December 11 to December 26. At the end of the voting window, the player with the highest number of valid votes will be named the People’s Choice winner.
Panel of Judges
A total of 49 invited judges will vote for the Top 20 APAC Players of the Year and the Rookie of the Year categories. These judges are drawn from across the VALORANT ecosystem and are individuals who consistently follow the Pacific and CN scenes throughout the season. You, the community, complete the panel as the 50th judge through the People’s Choice category.
All categories apart from People’s Choice are decided entirely by the judging panel. The People’s Choice award is determined 100 percent by public voting and stands alongside the panel’s selections as part of the Awards.
To maintain fairness and quality in the process, voting for the Game Changers and Challengers categories is optional. Not every judge actively follows those circuits, and we believe each vote should come from informed, intentional decision-making.
All submitted ballots go through multiple rounds of verification carried out by an impartial team with no conflict of interest, using both manual and automated checks. Judges may request access to the raw tally for transparency purposes, but the identities of individual voters will remain anonymous to avoid bias, outside pressure, or undue influence.
Plaques for every VALO2ASIA Awards winner
To commemorate their achievements, each winner will receive a custom wooden plaque created exclusively for the VALO2ASIA Awards. Every plaque is engraved with the player’s in-game name, real name, and award category, serving as a keepsake and a reminder of how far they have risen into the top percentile of the Asia-Pacific region.
We would like to extend a special thank you to Pulsar for supporting this year’s edition of the Awards and sharing the same vision of elevating and spotlighting Asian VALORANT.
