The registration process for VALORANT Game Changers SEA 2024 is now open, FSL has announced.
SEA – FSL has unveiled the dates and specifics of VALORANT Game Changers SEA 2024, introducing a new format for the upcoming season. In this revamped structure, the entire Pacific region will be unified and directly contribute to a higher regional stage called Pacific.
The former VCT Game Changers APAC has been rebranded as SEA and will exclude South Asia, which will have its independent circuit directly feeding into Pacific as well. Furthermore, it is anticipated that Japan and Korea will fall under the Pacific umbrella mirroring the treatment of the primary VCT circuit rather than having a distinct East Asia circuit alongside China. More information about the Pacific circuit is set to be announced in the near future, particularly as the qualifying dates for each region draw near.

The qualifying process for SEA Stage 1 will begin next week with a best-of-three Swiss Open stage on March 26-29, from which the top eight sides will make their way to the Playoffs on April 1-5. The best-of-three, double-elimination bracket will offer a US$10,000 prize pool and will determine the top four teams that will be seeded directly into the Stage 2 Groups without needing to go through the Open stage in July anymore.
The qualifying process for SEA Stage 1 is set to kick off with a best-of-three Swiss Open stage scheduled for March 26-29, from which the top eight teams will progress to the Playoffs taking place from April 1-5. Within the Playoffs, a best-of-three, double-elimination bracket will unfold, featuring a US$10,000 prize pool, and the outcome of this bracket will determine the top four teams that secure direct seeding into the Stage 2 Groups.
Scheduled for July to September, VALORANT Game Changers SEA Stage 2 is set to adopt an extended format. The Open stage on July 4-7 will mirror the format of the previous stage but with a modification: instead of proceeding directly to playoffs, it will qualify twelve teams for a Group stage. These twelve teams will be divided into four groups of four, playing in a best-of-three round-robin group stage. The top two teams from each group will then progress to the playoffs.
The playoffs, featuring a best-of-three double-elimination format, will not only offer a US$10,000 prize pool but, more importantly, allocate three coveted spots in the broader regional Pacific qualifier.
The disbanded Team SMG emerged as champions in last year’s APAC circuit after securing victory in the Elite stage against RRQ Kaguya. This performance also earned them the opportunity to represent the region at the VCT Game Changers Championship in São Paulo, where they concluded the event in fourth place after losing in the semi-finals against G2 Gozen and Team Liquid Brazil.
Teams based in South East Asia or the countries listed, including Brunei, Cambodia, Indonesia, Laos, Malaysia, Myanmar, Philippines, Singapore, Thailand, Timor-Leste, Vietnam, Hong Kong, Macau, and Taiwan, are able to register through FSL’s website. Further details regarding the registration process and tournament rules can also be accessed on the website.
The US$10,000 prize distribution for each Stage is as follows:
