A new deal has been reached to extend Alexandre “alecks” Sallé’s contract with Paper Rex for another two years through to 2026.
SINGAPORE – Paper Rex have announced the contract extension of Alexandre “alecks” Sallé, keeping him with the team until the end of 2026. The French-Singaporean coach initially joined Paper Rex in February 2020 as a player for their Counter-Strike: Global Offensive division and transitioned to Riot’s VALORANT along with the roster in February 2021.
With alecks at the helm, Paper Rex have remained a strong presence in the tier-one VALORANT scene, qualifying for every international tournament since 2022. Their success kicked off by qualifying for Masters Berlin in 2021, their first year after transitioning to the new game.
Over the past three years, Paper Rex have qualified for 10 international events–including LOCK//IN–, made two grand finals appearances, and claimed a trophy in the inaugural season of the VCT Pacific League.

With alecks’ future with the team now clear, Paper Rex will be hoping to bounce back and aim for a podium finish next year after their early exits at VALORANT Masters Shanghai and VALORANT Champions Seoul this season.
Chief Gaming Officer of Paper Rex, Harley “dsn” Örwall, shared his thoughts:
“Consistency is really important to us. We’ve qualified for every international VCT event since 2022—it’s something we’re really proud of. While 2024 didn’t go the way we wanted, we’ve come a long way with Alexandre ‘alecks’ Sallé leading the way.
We’re committed to learning from what went wrong while keeping the things that worked. With renewed energy and a clear focus for the coming VCT 2025 season, we’re ready to take on whatever comes next and come back even stronger. The team is confident that ‘alecks’ will lead us back to the podium.”
Thank you to all our fans, friends and family for the continued support! Stay tuned for more VCT OFF//SEASON updates soon.”
