Hector “FrosT” Rosario has once again turned to a familiar face, bringing another 100 Thieves alumnus into Talon Esports’ coaching staff: Jovanni “Jovi” Vera.
THAILAND – Jovanni “Jovi” Vera has officially joined Talon Esports as their assistant coach, the organization announced today. The former head coach of Evil Geniuses GC & FlyQuest RED will team up again with Hector “FrosT” Rosario beginning with the 2025 VCT Pacific Kickoff.
“Joining the Talon Esports squad for 2025! Very grateful for the opportunity and excited to be working with FrosT again!” Jovi shared on Twitter.
This will be Jovi’s first venture into the Pacific region after building his career in North America, where he began under the 100 Thieves banner alongside FrosT as an analyst, known for work on lineups used by Spencer “Hiko” Martin. He eventually rose to the position of head coach, though his tenure in that role was brief.

Together, FrosT and Jovi led 100 Thieves to victory at First Strike North America. Now reunited, the duo aims to capture another trophy under different circumstances in a new region.
The 30-year-old also had a brief stint with OpTic as an analyst, contributing to their victory at the 2022 VALORANT Masters Reykjavík. Meanwhile, over the past two years, Jovi turned to the VCT Game Changers scene and coached Evil Geniuses GC, which was later acquired by FlyQuest. Under his guidance, the team qualified for both the 2023 and 2024 Game Changers Championships, consistently just trailing behind world champions Shopify Rebellion in all three GC NA Series this year.
Jovi will fill in the void of another 100 Thieves alum, Aaron “b0i” Thao, who had been part of Talon Esports’ coaching staff since early 2023 but parted ways in October to return to playing.
Heading into the start of the 2025 season, Talon Esports will compete in VCT Pacific Kickoff and will look to qualify for VALORANT Masters Bangkok where they will have the chance to play in front of their home crowd.
With the arrival of Jovi, Talon Esports now have:
