cb has officially joined EDward Gaming for the upcoming VCT CN season.
CHINA – EDward Gaming have officially announced the signing of Wang “cb” Qingchuan from Nova Esports ahead of the 2026 VCT season. With this move, EDG now field a seven-man roster, though the team has yet to reveal which five players will make up the starting lineup for the upcoming VCT CN season.
This marks the second VALORANT team in cb’s career, having represented Nova Esports since mid-2023 during the pre-partnership era. Before transitioning to VALORANT, he competed professionally in CrossFire, most notably with Qing Jiu Club in Season 3 of the CrossFire HD League.
Within VALORANT, cb primarily plays as a flexible player, leaning toward Initiator but capable of slotting into multiple roles.

In the coming weeks, EDward Gaming are set to compete in two OFF//SEASON tournaments: the China Esports Festival Super Champion Cup and Shanghai Esports Masters 2025. Both events will feature cb and Zhang “Jieni7” Juntai, with Zheng “ZmjjKK” Yongkang sitting out much of the off-season similar to last year. Meanwhile, Zhang “zjc” Juncheng remains absent from competition after appearing in just two VCT CN matches and EWC earlier this year.
EDG will be hoping cb’s arrival can help realign the team after a challenging 2025 campaign. The squad missed out on VALORANT Masters Toronto, marking their first absence from an international event, and finished third in the VCT CN season finals behind Bilibili Gaming and Dragon Ranger Gaming. Although they still secured a spot at VALORANT Champions Paris, the defending world champions exited in last place, ending the year far from the dominant, undefeated form that once defined their dynasty.
