adrnking makes a move to Grayfox Esports after previously representing Reckoning Esports in a stand-in capacity for the Convergence Indian Qualifier.
INDIA – Grayfox Esports have welcomed the addition of an international signing in the form of Adrian “adrnking” Setiawan, bringing the player count in the starting lineup for 2024 up to four. The news brings an end to his short stint as a free agent that started in October following his departure from Jakarta-based Alter Ego.
adrnking inks a deal with Grayfox Esports after spending a brief period standing in for Reckoning Esports during the Indian Qualifier for Convergence 2023, becoming the second Indonesian player to participate in the South Asian scene, following the footsteps of former Orangutan player Rafi “frostmind” Diandra.
Before stepping into the South Asian scene, the 25-year-old had plied his trade for Alter Ego since December 2021, and his journey began on a high note when the Indonesian side clinched the TEC Challenger Series 6 title defeating Action PH in the grand final, even while he was still serving in a stand-in capacity.

Since becoming a permanent member of Alter Ego in January 2022, adrnking took part in six Challengers events, the notable of which were the APAC Stage 2 Challengers and APAC Last Chance Qualifier from the previous year. More recently, AE secured a third-place finish in VCL Indonesia Split 2. Despite an early setback that saw them relegated to the lower bracket, the team fought their way back against ARF Team and Bigetron Arctic to the lower final, only to suffer a second defeat to BOOM Esports.
Another notable highlight in adrnking’s career within the Indonesian circuit was his tenure with the initial roster of BOOM Esports during the entirety of the 2020 season and a significant portion of the 2021 season, followed by a brief stint with RRQ.
With that, Vibhor “Vibhor” Vaid, Rohit “PanzeR” Vardan, and Akash “Haxor” Gupta have also been subsequently placed on the inactive roster for the time being, with further information regarding the starting five to be unveiled in the upcoming days.
