The upcoming VCT Pacific Stage 1 is set to unfold at a new venue, starting on April 6.
SOUTH KOREA – Riot Games has unveiled the group stage matchups for VCT Pacific Stage 1, set to take place starting on April 6.
During Stage 1, teams will be randomly divided into two groups: five teams in group Alpha and six teams in group Omega. Alpha teams are set to compete against Omega teams in a single round-robin, best-of-three series. The top three teams from each group will progress to the Playoffs. Given only three qualifying slots to VALORANT Masters Shanghai available, teams will play in a double-elimination bracket to secure their position as the Pacific representatives in China’s first international event.
Furthermore, teams will gain a Championship Point for every match won, and the winning team in Stage 1 will gain an extra three Championship Points. These accumulated points will contribute to their qualification for Champions 2024 at the end of the season. As things stand, Gen.G hold three points from their victory at VCT Pacific KICKOFF.
VCT Pacific Stage 1 will begin on April 6 and will run until May 12. The tournament is structured in two stages:
- Group stage: 6 April – 29 April
- Playoffs: 3 May – 12 May
Stage 1 matches for both Group stage and Playoffs will begin at 4 PM (SGT/GMT+8).
Coex Artium in Gangnam, Seoul, is set to be the venue for both VCT Pacific Stage 1 and Stage 2, moving from the previous KICKOFF location at S Factory. Furthermore, details regarding the location for the Stage 2 Grand Finals will be revealed at a later date.
