Challengers SEA Split 3 will serve as a transitional phase for the new format set to launch in 2025, during which the six Challengers Leagues in SEA will be consolidated into a single league.
SOUTHEAST ASIA – Riot Games has revealed the initial details for VALORANT Challengers Southeast Asia (SEA) Split 3, which will feature 18 teams competing for a $75,000 prize pool. This announcement comes less than a month after the end of the VCT Ascension Pacific Jakarta event, where Korea’s Sin Prisa Gaming emerged victorious, securing their spot in VCT Pacific, while BOOM Esports have taken over the position previously held by Bleed Esports in the partnered league.
The newly-announced Split 3 will serve as a transitional phase from the previous VALORANT Challengers format to a new one that merges the six Southeast Asia Challengers Leagues under a single umbrella, implementing a unified qualification process through the in-game Premier system.
VALORANT Challengers SEA Split 3 will consist of three stages, featuring the top two teams from the regional Challengers Split 2 along with the leading teams from Premier Episodes 8 and 9, all placed based on their performance. Qualified teams include Alter Ego, Disguised, FULL SENSE, NAOS Esports, The MongolZ, and others.

Kicking off with Stage 1, six teams qualified through Premier will be split into two groups of three, competing in a single-round-robin format from October 25-27. The top team from each group will move on to Stage 2, taking place from October 29 to November 3. Here, they will compete alongside the six runners-up from Challengers Split 2 in single-elimination matchups before shifting to a double-elimination format for the subsequent matches.
The top two teams from Stage 2 will advance to the third and final stage, where they will join the six winners from each Challengers Split 2 in a double-elimination bracket, scheduled to take place from November 6 to 24.
The champions of VALORANT Challengers SEA Split 3 will secure their spot in the 2025 VALORANT Challengers Split 1, along with a lion’s share of the $75,000 prize pool.
It has also been announced that the competition will be livestreamed exclusively on SOOP. However, Riot Games has confirmed that co-streaming and watch parties are allowed on the platform. Additionally, content beyond the livestream, including replay VODs and highlights, will be uploaded to other platforms and can be viewed during streams elsewhere.
