The VALORANT Game Changers Championship returns today, November 8, for its 3rd edition. Here’s your guide to the event, which brings together 10 of the world’s top Game Changers teams from six regions.
GERMANY – The third edition of the VALORANT Game Changers Championship kicks off this week, running from November 8 to 17 at the Riot Games Arena in Berlin, Germany. Ten teams from six regions will compete for a share of the US$500,000 prize pool and the prestigious GC Champions title.
Plenty of fascinating storylines are set to play out across the week. All eyes will be on Shopify Rebellion as they look to defend their title after winning the 2023 Game Changers Championship in São Paulo, Brazil, whilst many will also be interested in the new G2 Gozen who swept all three Game Changers EMEA trophies this season with their three new additions.
Another highlight of the event is the return of GCC 2022 MVP Maryam “Mary” Maher, now competing with Falcons Vega after a break last season to complete her studies. However, the team will be missing Sandra “Sandra” Sherif, who couldn’t secure the necessary visa to attend. Stepping in for her will be Alexandra “lexa” Persson from Twisted Minds Orchid.

Representing the Pacific region, Xipto Esports (formerly Team SMG) and ZETA DIVISION GC will be in attendance, alongside Ambitious Legend Gaming (ALG) GC from China. In addition to the four players from Xipto Esports who represented Team SMG last year, Suzu “suzu” Sasaki of ZETA DIVISION GC will make her return to the international stage after being loaned to FENNEL Hotelava for the 2022 Game Changers Championship.
ALG GC boast two former X10 Sapphire players, Sarindhorn “JinNy” Wanothayarnchai and Chalita “Muffyn” Buathong, along with former Chao Hui EDG member Wang “Yusin” Chiyun. The Chinese team went undefeated in their domestic circuit, securing their spot in the Berlin event without dropping a single map.
The rest of the field is populated by FlyQuest RED, GIANTX GC, MIBR GC, and KRÜ Blaze to round out the list.
The ten teams have been placed into a double-elimination bracket, with the top seeds from EMEA and the Americas earning a bye into the second round. Most matches will be best-of-three, except for the final two—Lower Final and Grand Final—which will be played in a best-of-five format.
The winning team will take home the grand prize of US$180,000, while the runners-up will receive US$100,000. Here’s the full prize pool breakdown:
- 1st – US$180,000
