Bilibili Gaming kicked off their journey in the FGC VALORANT Invitational by entering the upper-bracket semi-finals, where they faced off against 2024 Ascension champions XLG Esports. Despite being down, BLG pulled off an impressive reverse sweep, securing a 2-1 victory and advancing further into the tournament.
On their way to the finals, Bilibili Gaming continued their strong run by taking down both Nova Esports and Wolves Esports—two teams that had been on the rise and had recently reached the finals of the CN OFF//SEASON WALL-E Cup.
A rematch against Wolves Esports was set after the team Bilibili Gaming had previously sent to the lower bracket managed to defeat FunPlus Phoenix in dominant fashion, sweeping them without dropping a single map. In a match that felt like déjà vu, Bilibili Gaming once again emerged victorious, securing a 3-1 series win. The scores were tight, with BLG clinching wins on Sunset (13-5) and Abyss (13-11), while Wolves took Bind (9-13) in a hard-fought game.
The series came to a dramatic conclusion on Ascent, where Bilibili Gaming edged out their opponents 16-14 in a thrilling final map. Wang “whzy” Haozhe delivered an exceptional performance on Neon, recording 31 kills and averaging 288 ACS, earning him the best performance on the server that map and overall in the series.
