Twelve teams from the VCT CN will compete in the Kickoff event, battling for two coveted spots at VALORANT Masters Bangkok.
CHINA – Riot Games has revealed the opening matchups for the 2025 VCT CN Kickoff, set to begin on January 11, 2025, at the VCT CN Arena in Shanghai. The announcement was made during a live awards ceremony in Shanghai on December 18, where VALO2ASIA was honored as Media Partner of the Year.
The top two teams from the double-elimination bracket will secure their spots at VALORANT Masters Bangkok, representing China against teams from EMEA, Pacific, and the Americas.
The tournament will feature BO5 matches in the lower final and grand final stages. However, the full event schedule is yet to be announced, with more details expected closer to the start date.

The four Chinese teams that qualified for VALORANT Champions Seoul have been seeded into the upper bracket.
The opening round promises some intriguing matchups, including the newly ascended XLG Esports facing a revamped Wolves Esports, who dominated the OFF//SEASON by winning the WALL-E Cup and Shanghai Esports Masters. The winner of this match will meet Bilibili Gaming in the next round.
Elsewhere, TYLOO and Titan Esports Club will square off, with the victor advancing to face FunPlus Phoenix.
On the opposite side of the bracket, JD Gaming—rumored to be undergoing a late roster overhaul—will take on Dragon Ranger Gaming, with Trace Esports awaiting the winner. Meanwhile, All Gamers will clash with the rising Nova Esports, while tournament giants EDward Gaming, fresh off their VALORANT Champions Seoul victory, will also be in action.
