The new Velocity Gaming team headlined by Ganesh “SkRossi” Gangadhar has officially finalized its roster for the 2025 season.
INDIA – Velocity Gaming has announced the signing of a new lineup that features three former Global Esports players: Ganesh “SkRossi” Gangadhar, Abhirup “Lightningfast” Choudhury, and Russel “Russ” Mendes.
Joining them are Indonesian duo Damara “damaraa” Danuardi and Raven “Madelyn” William, who previously played for THE HERO and Bigetron Arctic during the 2024 Challengers season.
This move marks Velocity Gaming’s return to the South Asian circuit after their previous all-Filipino roster, which included players like Mark “patrickWHO” Musni and Jon “tesseract” Piga, went their separate ways.
For the first time, SkRossi and Lightningfast—once core members of GE’s original all-Indian roster—will don the Velocity Gaming jersey. The duo played a role in shaping South Asian VALORANT’s early competitive scene, where GE and VLT built one of the region’s longest-standing rivalries, clashing in countless grand finals. SkRossi played for Revenant Esports last season, where he helped them win the VALORANT Challengers South Asia Split 2. This victory secured their spot in VCT Ascension Pacific 2024, where they ended up finishing in 7-8th place.
After competing with Global Esports in the 2024 VCT Pacific season, Russ chose to stay in the Pacific region rather than return to EMEA, reuniting with his former teammate Lightningfast and joining Indian VALORANT icon SkRossi for the first time in the server.
Meanwhile, damaraa is still an emerging Indonesian duelist who caught more attention in the 2024 season, qualifying for VALORANT Challengers Indonesia Split 1 with THE HERO and Split 2 with Le Crapaud, though he fell short of deep playoff runs in both attempts.
On the other hand, Madelyn has had a similar career trajectory to damaraa, consistently qualifying for every Challengers event since 2023 but without deep playoff runs. However, he is also known for his time with RRQ’s original roster in 2021, where he helped the team reach the grand finals at VALORANT Challengers Indonesia Stage 3 Challengers 3.
The duo recently teamed up with Bigetron Arctic, finishing second in the OFF//SEASON One Game Showdown event, where they narrowly lost to DSG in the grand finals 2-3. Madelyn and damaraa were standout players, often topping the scoreboards throughout the OFF//SEASON with BTR.
Velocity Gaming will debut this season in the VALORANT Challengers South Asia circuit, with Russ holding residency status in India, making him eligible as a resident player in the SA circuit.
Velocity Gaming now have the following roster:
