“I’m lucky to be in esports, and I feel so happy. Because you only live once, and you never know when you are going to get the chance again. So yeah, I just try to do anything I can.”
INDONESIA – VCT Pacific has unveiled a new episode of its Homegrown docuseries, this time spotlighting RRQ star Cahya “Monyet” Nugraha.
The 12-minute documentary takes viewers back to Monyet’s roots in Bali, Indonesia, where his passion for gaming began at just four years old when his father opened an internet café.
The video traces his journey through the domestic scene with ONIC Esports, followed by stints at Global Esports and Paper Rex, before finally finding a home with RRQ where he lifted the VCT Pacific trophy. The episode also features emotional reflections from his parents and close friends, giving a look into the personal life of one of Indonesia’s brightest VALORANT talents.
“In the rice fields of rural Bali, Cahya Nugraha was already naturally talented in many things. A star student with a competitive drive, Monyet was more than ready for bigger and better competition when VALORANT came calling. But not everything goes as planned in the world of esports. Monyet shares his experiences through the ups and downs of esports, as he learns what truly matters and where he belongs.”
