VALO2ASIA has partnered with Pulsar for an in-depth look at their latest gaming mouse release, the Pulsar Susanto-X Gaming Mouse.
When gaming brands team up with professional players, the spotlight usually falls on performance specs and features. The Pulsar Susanto-X Gaming Mouse is not that superficial. It carries with it not just the influence of a single pro, but the shared history and perspective of two brothers whose careers have shaped the PC FPS scene in Asia. Introducing the Pulsar Susanto-X Gaming Mouse.
At the heart of this collaboration with Pulsar are the Susanto brothers from Indonesia: Kevin “xccurate” Susanto, who made his name on Counter-Strike’s biggest stages with TYLOO in the past, and Jason “f0rsakeN” Susanto, now one of VALORANT’s brightest stars with Paper Rex.
For many, seeing the Susanto brothers come together in this collaboration feels extra special, especially for those who know their journey and understand how exceptional it is to reach the top 0.01 percent of players and stay competing at that level year after year.

The mouse has also already been put to the test under tournament conditions, with f0rsakeN debuting the mouseduring the 2025 VCT Pacific Season Finals in Tokyo, where Paper Rex lifted the trophy. From there, the story continued on an even bigger stage: the VALORANT Champions 2025 event in Paris, the defining tournament of the year.
The fact that f0rsakeN chose to use this mouse on stage in both Tokyo and Paris says everything about his trust and confidence in it. He and xccurate were directly involved in its development, refining the shape, tweaking the details, and making the final calls, and that trust is reflected in the finished product.
Watching Jason compete with the mouse in hand, with Kevin’s signature right there alongside his, and then validating it by winning on stage, was all the proof needed that this mouse belongs on the biggest stages.”

f0rsakeN: “For me, the shape is the most important thing. We refined a classic shape by making it smaller for a more comfortable grip, and the clicks are the best I have ever tried. We also wanted it to be uniquely ours, which is why we chose the black and pink colorway and added personal details like the S-shaped scroll wheel for ‘Susanto’ and our signatures on the sides.”
xccurate: “I feel like our hard work has finally paid off with this mouse. It’s how we can pass our legacy on to friends and family, ensuring they’re going to know that the Susanto name was here in the esports scene.”
Okay, the story and symbolism are nice, but what really matters is how the Susanto-X actually performs, and we’ve been putting it through its paces for a month now ever since it launched on August 30.

Shape and Grip
The Pulsar Susanto-X isn’t reusing a shape we’ve all seen before, as it brings something new which is always refreshing in today’s crowded mouse market. At the same time, it doesn’t push for extremes. Weighing in at 50 grams, it’s not chasing the title of lightest or boldest mouse out there, and honestly, it doesn’t have to. What you get instead is a mouse that feels well-balanced and sturdy in hand.
Some mice are designed in a way that almost tells you how to hold them. That’s great if it lines up with how you already play, but it can also feel a little restrictive if your grip changes or doesn’t match what the shape wants.
However, the Pulsar Susanto-X Mouse feels “safer” in a way that it doesn’t try to force a single “correct” grip. Instead, it works with you whether that’s claw, relaxed claw, or something in between, and it feels right as soon as you pick it up. That flexibility matters, letting you adjust naturally as your game goes on.

Picture yourself in a long match or BO3. Early rounds, maybe you’re loose, holding the mouse in a relaxed claw. By the time you’re deep in overtime, tension is high, your grip tightens, maybe you shift toward a more aggressive claw without even realizing it. With some mice, that would feel awkward. You lose comfort, and that distracts you. With the Pulsar Susanto-X Mouse, the shape just still feels right.
The build feels rock solid. No flex, no creaks, just a sturdy shell with buttons that are firm and dependable. Paired with 8K polling and PixArt Motion Sync, the switches feel fast and light, while the side buttons have a crisp, satisfying snap that ties the whole experience together.
Design

Most of the mouse keeps a clean matte black shell, but Pulsar wasn’t afraid to add some personality. Besides the Susanto Brothers logo on the side of the right click, the side buttons are highlighted with pink accents, the rubberized scroll wheel features a pink “S” for Susanto against its black surface, and even the braided cable and dongle are finished in full pink. Regarding the cable and cord, , it’s a bold choice that people will either love or hate. There’s not much in between. But if performance is your main concern, and you appreciate the story behind this collaboration, chances are the look will start to grow on you.
With f0rsakeN and Paper Rex, bold choices have always been part of the story, so this design doesn’t really come as a surprise. It actually feels like an extension of how he sees the game and how he approaches competition, which, for me, makes the mouse that much easier to like.
On the left side of the mouse, f0rsakeN’s signature sits beside the two pink side buttons and an LED indicator, while the right side features xccurate’s signature ‘xcc’ mark.
Performance and Software
On the performance side, the Susanto-X delivers exactly what you’d expect from a modern Pulsar release.
The XS-1 flagship sensor is centered, consistent, and reliable, with support for polling rates up to 8K. Personally speaking, you’re not going to feel a world of difference compared to other flagship or similar sensors, but it’s rock-solid in competitive play. So there’s no second-guessing your crosshair placement, no hiccups, just stable tracking. Stock skates also glide smoothly enough for most players.
One thing that really sets Pulsar apart is how it handles software. Yes, there’s a traditional desktop app, but you can also manage the Susanto-X entirely through a web browser. It’s a huge quality-of-life perk if you don’t like bloating your PC with extra software especially if you own multiple mice from different brands.

Where this becomes a real game-changer is on LAN and tournament environments. Normally, players have to either install drivers on a tournament PC (which can be a hassle if they don’t have admin access) or rely on whatever limited onboard memory the mouse supports.
With Pulsar’s web-based setup, you don’t need to bring installers, ask an admin for permissions, or leave behind software traces on someone else’s machine. You just open a browser, plug in your mouse, and tweak your DPI, polling rate, debounce, or macros in a matter of seconds.
That said, sometimes you will find customization a little clunky whether on the web or in the standalone app. But even with those quirks, the fact that Pulsar lets you configure your gear anywhere without worrying about compatibility or downloads makes it one of the most underrated competitive advantages in the current mouse market. It also highlights how focused Pulsar is on accommodating Professional player needs.
This Pulsar collaboration feels very special because it’s not just tied to one name, and it brings together the Susanto brothers, Kevin and Jason, whose journeys have been deeply tied to pushing the APAC FPS scene forward. Owning a Pulsar Susanto-X feels almost like owning a piece of that shared legacy. On the product side, the new shape feels refreshing in today’s market, and knowing both players were directly involved in its development and now compete with it on stage shows how much trust went into making it. It’s the kind of gear you can depend on because even the very people behind it are using it to win and lift trophies.
