DRX bid farewell to their in-game leader, Park “Estrella” Geon.
SOUTH KOREA – DRX have officially announced the departure of Park “Estrella” Geon, bringing an end to his six-month run with the team since joining in April 2025.
The announcement comes as the 2025 VCT season concludes and the transfer window opens. Estrella’s arrival ahead of VCT Pacific Stage 1 saw DRX experiment with a new setup, handing in-game leader duties from MaKo to Estrella.
The change brought mixed but acceptable results, as the team placed fourth in Stage 1, missing out on Masters Toronto, and later finished 5–6th in Stage 2. Expectations were modest at best, with many, including perhaps the players themselves, believing Stage 2 would mark the end of their 2025 VCT run. Still, thanks to RRQ and a tiebreaker between DRX and TALON at the VCT Pacific Stage 2 Finals, DRX managed to qualify for VALORANT Champions Paris, their final event of the season.

In a surprising move last month, Kang “BeYN” Ha-bin took Estrella’s place at Champions, with the team offering little comment on the active lineup change. The adjustment ultimately paid off as the team went on one of their best international runs yet, finishing third overall after a hard-fought 1–3 loss to FNATIC in the lower final.
Meanwhile, Estrella has expressed his intent to continue competing next season, posting an LFT announcement as he explores new opportunities.
