All nine award winners revealed as VCT Pacific wraps its 2025 awards ceremony.
SOUTH KOREA – VCT Pacific has officially announced the results of its 2025 awards show held in Seoul. This year’s edition featured nine award categories, with Paper Rex emerging as the big winner of the night sweeping multiple individual accolades.
The awards were decided by a voting panel made up of the VCT broadcast team, selected third-party media, and one pro player, coach, and streamer from every VCT Pacific team. Representatives were not allowed to vote for their own organization.
Voters were asked to judge based on overall season performance, with players only eligible for one role, determined by the role they primarily played throughout the year. The only exception was IGLs, who could be nominated for both IGL and their main role (e.g. Controller).
VALO2ASIA was also selected as one of the media outlets participating in the voting process.

Here are all the winners from the 2025 VCT Pacific Awards:
Rookie of the Year: PRX PatMen
Nominated: PRX PatMen, DRX HYUNMIN, T1 DH
“Winning the Rookie of the Year award is a really amazing feeling, since not everyone has the opportunity to win this kind of achievement. And I think I’m the lucky one. I think one of the rounds or plays that I remember is my clutch during Masters Toronto. I think that’s the one that gave me the most spotlight. For my teammates, coaches, and all staff members of PRX. I just want to say thank you very much, because I didn’t just have a team, but also friends and family. And I was really grateful to have you guys. And every day, we shared the same food and the same air. And we all know how hard our work was, but we managed to do it. Thank you for the Rookie of the Year award.”
Duelist of the Year: PRX something
Nominated: RRQ Jemkin, PRX something, DRX HYUNMIN, DFM Meiy
“The Duelist of the Year award means a lot to me, because you can basically see the reward
of my work for the year. Even though we started slow at the start of 2025, we bounced back in the middle of the season, and it means a lot to me. I want to say thank you to the fans. I want to say thank you to PRX, to the management, and to the people who are working with us, who are literally living life with us in real life, helping us, and so on. And I want to say thank you to my girlfriend for supporting me. Thank you so much for supporting us. Thank you so much for supporting me as a player, as a human. And, see you all next season. Thank you for the Duelist of the Year award.”
Sentinel of the Year: PRX d4v41
Nominated: PRX d4v41, T1 Meteor, RRQ xffero
“Winning Sentinel of the Year means good news to me, since I’m playing Sentinel. And you want to do your best when you’re playing the role. I mean for now probably just Pacific and hopefully the next award is the world’s best Sentinel. The highlight of the year is easily Masters Toronto. I mean, we came from the lower bracket of Pacific and almost got knocked out, but we won everything, like train by train. I mean, it feels like a Cinderella story. Yeah. Very happy about it. My mom and my family. My friends. And last but not least, my friends. Without you guys, I wouldn’t be here today. And I appreciate every single one of you. Thank you for the Sentinel of the Year award.”
Controller of the Year: DRX MaKo
Nominated: PRX f0rsakeN, GEN Karon, DRX MaKo
Initiator of the Year: PRX PatMen
Nominated: RRQ Kushy, RRQ crazyguy, PRX PatMen
“I actually didn’t expect this, to be honest because I know there are a lot of Initiator players in Pacific. And I truly respect them. And I also learned from other Pacific Initiators like how they play. And I am really glad, because when I joined PRX, what I was thinking was how to be the best Initiator or support player for them, and I’m so happy that I’m able to get these achievements. To all the fans of PRX and PRX people. Because of you guys, we are all motivated because you keep supporting us, helping us, and watching us through our journeys. And now, because of you guys, we were able to get these achievements. A lot of us get achievements, and I got two achievements. So thank you very much. Thank you for the Initiator of the Year award.”
IGL of the Year: RRQ crazyguy
Nominated: RRQ crazyguy, DRX MaKo, PRX f0rsakeN
“Winning the IGL of the Year means a lot to me because in Bleed, I didn’t manage to get any wins the whole year, and just one year later, I got this award. So, yeah, I feel like I’ve improved a lot. First of all, I want to send my greetings to all of you. And I want to thank every single person who has been by my side throughout this VALORANT journey. I know that many of you have supported me since my time with Bleed and have stayed with me all the way until now. Whether I fail or succeed, you never stopped supporting me and cheering me on. I truly carry that support in my heart, and I hope I can make you proud, to give you moments that make you proud to say you’ve supported me. Thank you, everyone. Thank you for rooting for me, so I can get this award. This means a lot to me. Thank you.”
Most Improved Player of the Year: DRX HYUNMIN
Nominated: RRQ crazyguy, PRX PatMen, DRX HYUNMIN
“I didn’t think I was going to win such an award, but I guess I’m just very happy to get an award. I’ll carry this award as a part of motivation, and I’ll use it towards my hard work in practice. And I will show you guys great plays and great moments. Something I want to say to the fans is thank you for supporting DRX. Even though we had a lot of changes throughout the year, I’m just happy you guys stayed with us throughout Champions. and I hope you guys keep on supporting us. Someone I would like to thank is our head coach, termi. termi, thank you. Thank you for allowing me to play in such a great team. And thank you for always believing in me. I will show better performances next year. Thank you for the Most Improved Player of the Year award.”
Coach of the Year: PRX alecks
Nominated: PRX alecks, RRQ Ewok, DRX termi
“Winning the award means a lot to me. I think it’s nice to be recognized by everyone for the efforts we made this year. For 2026, I’m hoping that we (do) what we continued from kick on. Same goals as always, try our best to make Champions. And if we do qualify for international events, make sure we place high. For next year, I hope the fans can expect us to once again try our best. We have won one trophy internationally, but I think the big one is Champions, and everybody wants to win that. So we’re going to do our best to qualify and perform on Champions. The good news is it’s in Asia this time. So I’m hoping that if we do manage to qualify, you guys will be there to support us, and we will make sure that it’s worth it for all of you. To the boys. This journey never ends. We have to strive for more, always. It’s just the way the league works, you know. Every year, we have to reset to try again from zero. And I hope that you guys are ready to work. We’re going to have a long season ahead of us, but it’s going to be fun.”
Player of the Year: PRX f0rsakeN
Nominated: RRQ crazyguy, PRX something, PRX f0rsakeN
“For me, winning Player of the Year really means a lot. It proves that all my hard work pays off. So I want to say thank you so much for letting me have this award. I believe that my team and I are still hungry to win. And I think next year I will say another trophy, hopefully, and another MVP award. So yeah. The highlight of this year is I would say Masters Toronto, where it was my first international trophy with my team PRX, and I also got the MVP award there. So I think this is the biggest highlight for me so far. For all my fans, thank you so much for supporting me all the time. I hope next year will be my year as well. I hope you guys keep supporting me until I can hopefully get another trophy and get another award. Thank you so much for the Player of the Year award.”
