Alter Ego’s departure leaves only FULL SENSE and Sharper Esport as the last legacy organizations from Southeast Asia’s earliest VALORANT days still active in the scene.
INDONESIA – Alter Ego has officially announced their departure from the VALORANT scene, bringing an end to their competitive journey in Riot’s FPS title. The organization has disbanded its all-Indonesian roster, closing a chapter that began in 2020 during VALORANT’s inaugural year.
Alter Ego was among the early pioneers of Indonesia’s VALORANT scene, once home to some of the nation’s top names including Hagai “Lmemore” Tewuh, Rizkie “BerserX” Adla Kusuma, David “xffero” Monangin, Delbert “deLb” Tanoto, and Bryan “Kushy” Setiawan.
Their early success included a runner-up finish at First Strike Indonesia and strong showings in the pre-franchise APAC events, such as the 2021 VALORANT Challengers SEA Stage 3 Playoffs and the 2022 APAC Stage 2 and Last Chance Qualifier.

Domestically, Alter Ego consistently maintained a top-two position in Indonesia’s competitive VALORANT scene, often falling just short of qualifying for VCT Ascension Pacific — overshadowed by longtime rival BOOM Esports. When BOOM secured a spot in the Pacific League, many expected Alter Ego to seize the opportunity, especially following their championship run at the 2025 APAC Predator League during the OFF//SEASON, which made them strong contenders.
However, the tides turned in the 2025 season as Rayvaldo “ray4c” Chandra, Rivaldy “ValdyN” Nafian, and coach Baskoro “roseaufy” Putra departed the team. Alter Ego placed third in VALORANT Challengers SEA Split 1 and suffered a disappointing 7–8th finish in Split 2, leading to their relegation in Split 3. With Ascension hopes slipping out of reach, the organization has chosen to exit the VALORANT ecosystem entirely.
“Thank you to everyone who kept supporting us in VALORANT. Maybe it just wasn’t our time yet. We’ve been trying for years… But there’s still a chance we’ll come back and try again next year,” Delwyn Sukamto, CEO and Founder of Alter Ego, stated.
Head coach Nanda “asteriskk” Rizana confirmed the team’s exit from VALORANT. In addition, he expressed intentions to keep the core trio — Thomas “Cud” Alfiantino, Davin “gotten“, and Alehandro “Nakya” Fabian — together to play in the Relegation/Promotion stage for Split 3. Meanwhile, recent additions Adrian “adrnking” Setiawan and Willy “sayoo” Ivandra had already parted ways two weeks prior to the announcement.

Alter Ego’s departure leaves only FULL SENSE, Oasis Gaming, and Sharper Esport as the last legacy organizations from Southeast Asia’s earliest VALORANT days still active in the scene. The 2025 season has witnessed several major names bow out of the SEA circuit, including Made in Thailand, Disguised, Bigetron Esports, Team Flash, ONE Team Esports, and more.
