Both Sha “ZesBeeW” Mohtar and head coach Ji “meow” Dong-jun are not in BOOM’s plans for the 2025 VCT Pacific season.
INDONESIA – Sha “ZesBeeW” Mohtar has announced in a statement on Twitter that he has been allowed to explore options in other teams, suggesting his time with BOOM Esports is coming to an end.
The unexpected exits of ZesBeeW and head coach Ji “meow” Dong-jun come as a shock, especially since it has only been a week since BOOM Esports was promoted to the 2025 VCT Pacific League following the removal of Bleed Esports.
BOOM Esports have yet to officially comment on the changes outside of CEO Gary “Natshuba” Ongko saying on Twitter that “all you need to know is that I have always done everything according to what I think is best the last 8 years,” suggesting that neither ZesBeeW nor meow will be part of the organization’s future plans in Seoul, South Korea.

“I thank everyone for their performances this season. At the end of the day, we don’t live in a ‘what if’ world, so we achieved what we did with the roster we had. However, at the same time, we didn’t win. So, had we ran it back, changes were always going to be made,” Natshuba added.
ZesBeeW has been on BOOM Esports’ books since May this year, joining the team as a key reinforcement for the crucial Split 2, where Ascension qualification was at stake. The team went on to clinch the title in the 2024 VALORANT Challengers Indonesia Split 2 to secure their place at VCT Ascension Pacific.
Competing on home ground, BOOM Esports made it to the grand finals of Ascension Pacific, coming within a hair’s breadth of the trophy, as they fell to Korea’s Sin Prisa Gaming after dramatic overtime rounds on the fifth map.
“The Indonesian crowd was amazing,” ZesBeeW told VALO2ASIA when asked about his experience at VCT Ascension Pacific Jakarta. “It was beautiful. I will be very honest; I think without the Indonesian crowd, we wouldn’t be able to come back and do what we actually showed. I kept telling the guys to listen to the crowd and vibe with them. It was music to our ears. Because of them, we felt appreciated, wanted, and at home.”
Now that ZesBeeW has been allowed to explore new options, he has expressed his willingness to relocate anywhere in the world and is fluent in both English and Bahasa Indonesia.
BOOM Esports are now left with:
- 🇮🇩 Rizkie “BerserX” Adla Kusuma
