Neha “CaspeR” Sottany has been added to MLT Esports GC’s roster ahead of VALORANT Game Changers South Asia Split 2.
INDIA – MLT Esports GC have announced that they have secured the signing of former Orangutan X and BOBA player Neha “CaspeR” Sottany.
Coming fresh off their victory in VALORANT Game Changers South Asia Split 1, MLT Esports GC welcome CaspeR as the seventh addition to the team. The Indian player is no stranger to some of her new teammates, having played alongside Anrionel “Twirly” Cajanding during the 2023 season and briefly with Risalma “oreopheliaa” Agnia in 2022 for Orangutan X.
CaspeR had been a free agent since October of last year following the disbandment of Orangutan’s Game Changers roster, with whom she had competed for the past two seasons.
With CaspeR on board since the team’s inception, Orangutan X consistently qualified for every Game Changers event they entered. This included reaching the Elite stage in both the 2022 and 2023 seasons, where they finished in 5-6th place. CaspeR proved to be one of the team’s standout performers, contributing consistently over the years in her role primarily as a Controller player. In the 2023 Game Changers APAC Open 1, she came close to victory but fell short in the grand final against the dominating Team SMG.

In her latest stint, CaspeR joined the non-backed BOBA team, comprising a ragtag mix of players from five different countries, led by former Team SMG in-game leader Abigail “Kohaibi” Kong. Despite being formed only recently, BOBA managed to clinch second place in Game Changers SEA Stage 1, only missing out on the top spot to Xipto Esports (previously Team SMG).
MLT Esports GC are banking on the infusion of experience and firepower from CaspeR to maintain their momentum and secure qualification for the Pacific event in October 2024.
The introduction of the Game Changers South Asia circuit creates a dedicated pathway for the region to join the pinnacle Pacific event alongside Southeast Asia, Japan, South Korea, and Oceania. MLT Esports GC currently stand as the leading contender to represent South Asia, given their performance in Split 1, in which they emerged victorious.
