Academy player Kang “DH” Dong-ho completes the T1 squad ahead of the Pacific qualifier for EWC.
SOUTH KOREA – T1 have announced the promotion of Kang “DH” Dong-ho to their main squad, which will see the 19-year-old debut in the upcoming ACL 2025 EWC Pacific Qualifier next week.
With this move, the Masters Bangkok champions now have a seven-man lineup, though they haven’t yet clarified how the roster will be structured moving forward.
DH joined T1’s academy program in September last year after previously playing for Japan-based Crest Gaming Zst, where he was teammates with Song “HYUNMIN” Hyun-min, now a member of DRX, the recent Pacific Kickoff champions.

During his stint with T1 Academy, DH impressed as the team’s highest-rated player, posting a 1.09 VLR rating and averaging 237.1 ACS over 578 rounds in VALORANT Challengers Korea Split 1. In Split 2, he led the team with an average ACS of 258.5, showing versatility on agents like Viper, Chamber, Cypher, Yoru, Vyse, and ISO and demonstrating his growing agent pool to fit the team’s two-duelist composition when needed. It remains unknown what sort of role he will play in T1’s main VCT Pacific roster.
While T1 haven’t locked in their starting five, they have confirmed that DH will feature in next week’s EWC Pacific Qualifier, potentially using the tournament to test both the rookie and their updated roster composition.
Since their victory at VALORANT Masters Bangkok, results haven’t been ideal for T1. The team failed to qualify for VALORANT Masters Toronto after finishing 7th-8th at VCT Pacific Stage 1.
