The top four teams have been assigned their initial match-ups in VALORANT Challengers Thailand Split 1’s double-elimination playoffs.
THAILAND – As the Regular Season of VALORANT Challengers Thailand Split 1 comes to an end, the playoff bracket for the four qualifying teams has been finalized. The stage is set to unfold in front of a live audience in Samut Prakan, Thailand.
During the Regular Season, FULL SENSE (#1) claimed the top spot, maintaining an unblemished record by not losing a single series following the incorporation of the former TALON duo, Panyawat “sushiboys” Subsiriroj and Itthirit “foxz” Ngamsaard, along with some adjustments in the backroom staff. Meanwhile, Made in Thailand (#2) and Team NKT (#3) found themselves tied in points, with the tiebreaker favoring the former due to a favorable head-to-head result.
Attack All Around (#4) secured a narrow fourth-place finish by edging out Sharper Esport in a head-to-head victory, despite having identical series, map, and round differences. Meanwhile, Sharper Esport (#5) and XERXIA (#6) have secured their spots in the main event of Split 2, but will not be partaking in the Split 1 Playoffs.
This leaves Valee Thai Esports (#7) and Barn Nong Chok (#8), both of whom progressed through the Promotion stage, as the lowest-ranked teams. They are now set to return to the Promotion/Relegation stage, where they will compete against Premier teams for an opportunity to secure a spot in the upcoming Split.
The final standings of VALORANT Challengers Thailand Split 1 Regular Season are as follows:
The TH฿800,000 tournament now moves on to the double-elimination bracket stage, where four teams are set to battle it out for a larger share of the prize pool and circuit points contributing to qualification for the upcoming Ascension Pacific event.
To open the quarter-finals, Made in Thailand will take on Team NKT, the former looking to redeem themselves having missed out on VCT Ascension Pacific last year and achieving only a high top-three finish in the previous Challengers Thailand last season, the latter hoping to rediscover their trophy-winning form from the recent OFF//SEASON period. The last meeting between these two teams happened during the fourth week of the Regular Season as well, where Made in Thailand narrowly secured victory over Team NKT in two closely contested maps (Icebox 13-11, Ascent 14-12).
The second quarter-final will pitch an undefeated FULL SENSE side against Attack All Around. The two teams previously squared off in the fourth week of the Regular Season, with Kititkawin “PTC” Rattanasukol’s men getting the better of Patcharapon “Niffy” Junman and co., 2-1 (Split 10-13, Icebox 13-5, Ascent 13-5).
The upper-bracket semi-finals are scheduled for Friday, starting at 5 PM and 7 PM SGT (UTC+8). The subsequent day will feature two more matches, with the Upper Final and Lower Semi-final taking place at the same time. The climax of the tournament will take place on Sunday, with the Lower Final and Grand Final scheduled for 12 PM and 3 PM SGT (to be confirmed), respectively, with the latter to be contested in a best-of-five format.
