The dates and details about the Challengers TW/HK circuit for the 2024 season have been revealed.
TAIWAN/HONG KONG – VALORANT Esports has revealed the specifics regarding the qualification process for the 2024 season of VALORANT Challengers TW/HK, featuring a similar two-stage structure as last year.
The leading team by the conclusion of Stage 2 will have the honor of representing Taiwan and Hong Kong in Challengers Ascension, joining nine other sub-regions in APAC. In the previous season, TW/HK was represented by ONE Team Esports, which featured promising young talent Shi “XyuS” Guan-Yu and seasoned veteran Tsai “W1nner” Hong-Wei.
Running from January 20, the qualifying phase kicks off with an Open Qualifier featuring a best-of-three, single-elimination bracket. The top eight teams emerging from this qualifier will progress to the main event of Challengers TW/HK Stage 1, scheduled from January 31 to April 4. Kicking off with a Regular Season, teams will engage in a best-of-three, single round-robin bracket, with the top six advancing to a double-elimination playoff bracket.

Starting from Stage 2, Open Qualifier will not be hosted as teams can secure qualification through the in-game Premier system.
Premier players and teams must achieve a rank of Immortal 3 or higher and qualify for Contender, the highest tier in Premier. These teams must consist of players eligible for Contender and complete their registration between January 8-17. The Premier competition will be divided into two stages, spanning from January to the end of April, with the second stage of it serving as a qualifying round for the Challengers Promotion and Relegation tournament.
The bottom four Stage 1 teams must compete once more in the Promotion/Relegation stage alongside the top four teams from Premier, taking place from April 24-26. The tournament format for Stage 2 mirrors that of Stage 1, with eight teams participating in the Regular Season and six in the subsequent playoffs.
The introduction of the Circuit Points System will serve as a change from the previous season. It rewards consistency over recent performances. This will make winning Stage 1 more important while teams that shine in just one part of the calendar will have less impact on the Ascension contention.
