The Korean player departs Talon Esports after only three months.
PHILIPPINES – Talon Esports have announced that “Alex” is no longer on the roster heading into Q3 2022, with former SunSparks player Patrick “PatMen” Mendoza taking his place on the squad. The departure of Gabrielle “GabbyDiz” Dizon saw Talon Esports go down to five players earlier this month, and now it has been revealed that “Alex” will not be continuing with the lineup either.
During his three-month stint with Talon Esports, Alex posted a 154.7 ACS over the course of thirteen maps as Sage (8) and Breach (5)—a below-average rating compared to the rest of the members. He joined the free agent pool at an opportune time for transfers, as most teams that did not qualify for the East Asia Last Chance Qualifier or Champions would reevaluate their lineup moving into the third and fourth quarters of the year.

Replacing Alex will be a more experienced player from the domestic talent pool. PatMen joins Talon Esports after spending the first half of 2022 with SunSparks, leaving the squad after the squad becomes inactive. The 20-year-old has been sitting on the sidelines for the past two months but will return to the server shortly with his new teammates.
Talon Esports have yet to play in the official VCT circuit following their early elimination in the open qualifier of VCT Philippines Stage 2 Challengers with victories over SunSparks, a more-prepared Nigma Galaxy, and a defeat to ALPHA Esports Pro in the decisive match to advance to the group stage. Outside the official circuit, however, they had recently won several community tournaments, namely the Sector Zero Bang! VOL.1 VALORANT tournament and the ONE Esports VALORANT Community Tournament 2022.
Talon Esports’ roster is now:
- 🇵🇭 Mark Ed “markL” Lester
- 🇵🇭 Aaron “gnaru” Bonaobra
- 🇵🇭 Andrei “Drei” Butulan
- 🇵🇭 Patrick “PatMen” Mendoza
- 🇰🇷 Go “UdoTan” Kyung-won
