THAILAND – ESL has announced that Fancy United Esports are unable to compete at ESL Clash of Nations 2023, scheduled to play out on November 24-26 in Bangkok, Thailand, due to passport issues. As a result, Oasis Gaming have been called up as the replacement team after finishing as runners-up in the SEA Closed Qualifier, where they lost in the grand final to the Vietnamese side.
Oasis Gaming will be accompanied by three other teams in Talon Esports, Team NKT, and FULL SENSE, as they compete in the TH฿1,000,000 THB (~US$28,523) tournament held at the Centerpoint Studio in Bangkok, Thailand.

Fancy United Esports couldn’t secure their passports in time for the ESL Clash of Nations event because their passports are still with the Korean embassy for the visa process related to the AfreecaTV VALORANT League event.
They are set to compete next month at the AfreecaTV VALORANT League in Seoul, South Korea. In this US$100,000 tournament, Đinh “YESicaN” Đình Đạt and his team will face Team Liquid in their opening match, which is part of Group B, along with T1 and EDward Gaming in the same group.
This last-minute invitation presents Oasis Gaming with an opportunity to get comfortable and warm up before they compete on their home turf at the 2024 APAC Predator League, scheduled for January next year. The Filipino side secured their spot in the APAC Predator League by winning the regional qualifier and making significant additions to their roster with Kelly “kellyS” Sedillo and coach James “Retrac” Ang.
Heading into the Thai event, Oasis Gaming are set to go head-to-head with Thailand’s Team NKT in the first round of the double-elimination bracket which will utilize a best-of-three format all the way to the grand final on Sunday, November 26.
With the replacement, the full team list for the 2023 ESL Clash of Nations looks as follows:
