Convergence 2023 becomes the second international event to be held in India following the VALORANT India Invitational held last year.
INDIA – Riot Games has revealed the first details of an upcoming international VALORANT event called Convergence 2023, set to be held in Bengaluru, India. This OFF//SEASON event is a collaboration between Riot Games SA and The Esports Club and will be hosted at the Manpho Convention Centre from December 14 to 17. The exact prize pool for the Convergence 2023 event has not been disclosed yet.
Global Esports, Gen.G, FURIA Esports, Team Vitality, and FUT Esports headline the invite list as five partnered teams from the three major VALORANT regions, with the announcement of an additional side expected in the coming days or weeks to complete the team list.
Convergence becomes the second international event to be held in India following the VALORANT India Invitational held last year, where the likes of Team Heretics, Paper Rex, Team Secret, and Rex Regum Qeon were among the high-profile names taking part in the US$100,000 event.

Sukamal Pegu, the Esports Lead, India & South Asia, Riot Games commented the following on ‘Convergence’:
“Convergence is us at Riot saying thanks to our amazing fans in India, who have supported us since the launch of VALORANT in 2020. We have also since grown the India team to deliver such hyperlocal experiences to our players here. With Convergence, Indian fans will finally get to see some of their favorite VALORANT athletes perform in person and also interact with them off-stage. It will be a perfect ending to the 2023 VCT season and we are just getting started here in India for such international events.”
Vamsi Krishna, the Founder and Managing Director of The Esports Club(TEC) expressed his excitement about hosting the event:
“We are excited to partner with Riot Games to introduce their first-ever international VALORANT tournament to the gaming community in India. This event will not only enhance the esports experiences in the country but also elevate India’s presence on the global gaming stage.”
