Team Path and their VALORANT team have gone their separate ways, the Kuala Lumpur-based organization has announced.
MALAYSIA – Team Path have officially parted ways with their VALORANT division, it has been announced.
The decision to disband the VALORANT division comes shortly after Team Path’s premature exit from VALORANT Challengers MY/SG Split 1, where they faced difficulties and were ousted in the first round of qualifier by 322. “It is with heavy hearts we announce the departure of our VALORANT roster,” the announcement reads. “Our very foundation and identity of Team Path, they have embodied the essence of our journey and what it truly means to be part of Team Path since we’ve existed.
As the final curtain falls on their exit from the VCT MYSG 2024 Split 1 Qualifiers, our hearts overflow with gratitude for the unwavering love and support our PATH Fam has showered upon us throughout their remarkable journey. From the championship wins and losses, to the amazing community events and content, we would like to say thank you and wish them the best of luck in their future endeavours, we are incredibly proud of everything they have accomplished and contributed for the scene.”

The Malaysian organization first stepped into the scene back in September 2022, with Dzul “Wrath” Hilmie holding it down as the sole original player until the roster disbandment. Hazim “kye” Salihuddin hopped on board at the beginning of 2023 together with coach Idzni “click” Rosdi. Then, in March, Darwish “toggle” Hakim joined the squad, and come July, Muhammad “zeeq” Hazeeq made his move to PATH.
During that span, Team Path competed in numerous domestic tournaments, including the 2023 VALORANT Challengers MY/SG Split 1, although they faced relegation in the subsequent split. A standout accomplishment occurred early last year when the team emerged victorious in LIGA eMAS Season 2, which solidified their position as the leading force in the Malaysian VALORANT scene after taking down constant rivals Todak in the grand finals.
With various adjustments along the way to bolster their firepower, Faishal “Pecal” Afiq was the last player to join the team, only linking up with the roster at the start of this year for VALORANT Challengers MY/SG Split 1 following the departure of Sirajul “Riza” Azrie to DSG. Unfortunately, their journey with Pecal was cut short, as their first-round loss to 322 and subsequent roster release marked Pecal’s first and last match under the Team Path banner.
“These boys were the very essence and foundation of what we initially envisioned Team Path to be, being the very team to showcase and deliver eccentric and flambuoyant personalities that subsequently helped increased the standards of what VALORANT storytelling and community building is in Malaysia,” Megat Danish, Operations Lead at Team Path, said on Twitter. “We saw the opportunities of what the scene can be, and we’ve done everything we can to take the scene to the next level.
Although they weren’t the strongest performing team, they have contributed immensely not just towards building the identity of the brand, but being a driving force by setting a standard for other teams and players in the community as a goal to overtake.”
The exit represents a setback for the Malaysian VALORANT scene, as Team Path had been actively contributing not just in competitive operations but also through content creation and events within the Malaysian VALORANT community. Despite Team Path stepping away from VALORANT, the official announcement expresses the organization’s intention to make a comeback in the future. “It is not a farewell, but rather a heartfelt ‘until we meet again’.”
