Crest Gaming Zst have announced the removal of their most recent addition “Art” within only three months of joining the team.
JAPAN – Crest Gaming Zst have announced that “Art” will no longer represent their VALORANT division going into the 2024 season. However, the exact reasons for his sudden and abrupt departure remain unknown as of the time of this publication.
The statement issued by the organization reads, “It has been mutually agreed to terminate the contract with Art, who belonged to the VALORANT division of Crest Gaming Zst. We sincerely thank him for his contributions so far and wish him the best in his future endeavors,” translated through a machine.
The departure of the 24-year-old has come as a surprise, especially considering that the final roster submission for VALORANT Challengers Japan Split 1 is set to close in four days, on January 14. Therefore, it is anticipated that the organization will reveal their latest recruit or temporary replacement in the coming days.
Art became a part of Crest Gaming Zst only in October after coming off of a successful stint in Jadeite, during which IGL and controller player contributed to the team’s second-place finish in Split 2.
However, after Jadeite disbanded, there were talks surrounding the Japanese VALORANT community about concerns regarding Art’s toxic behavior, which affected his attempts to join other teams. Known for his unique use of Odin, Art took a step forward in September, saying that he “will do my best from now on to be a player that people want to play with and support” and found his way to CGZ not long after.
Art made his last appearance for Crest Gaming Zst in Predator League Japan 2024, where they lost to eventual champions FAV Gaming 2-3 in the grand finals.
