Bigetron Astro re-sign xo as coach

Bigetron Astro are looking to improve their coaching infrastructure by re-signing Niki “xo” Utomo, Fidel “fidelwow” Saputra revealed during the VCT Stage 3 Challengers 2 Main Event.

Niki “xo” Utomo has been unveiled as the new coach of Bigetron Astro, marking his return to the organization after departing as a player in May. The former in-game leader will assist the Indonesian side, which has never had a coach in its past.

Niki links up with his former teammates fidelwow,  Fikri “famouz” Zaki, and Thomas “Cud” Alfinantino in his new role after playing together under two separate banners (MORPH Team and Bigetron Astro), whom he led to third place in First Strike Indonesia.

xo and fatpenguin both announced their departure from the starting lineup in May to make way for the entrance of budimeisteR and vascalizz. It was originally discovered during the VCT Indonesia Stage 3 Challengers 2 post-match interview, as xo was standing behind the team, which fidelwow has confirmed the rumor on the spot.

Bigetron Astro is currently ranked in the top three in Indonesia following the acquisition of budimeisteR and vascalizz. In their first debut in week one of VCT Indonesia Stage 3, the team was able to reach the grand final but still fall short against ONIC Esports.

With a new tactician behind them, the Indonesian squad aims to go even further as their goals are to “achieve excellent results in the VCT SEA Challengers Finals, better than we did with TEAMnxl.”

Bigetron Astro’s roster is now the following:

  • 🇮🇩 Fidel “fidelwow” Saputra
  • 🇮🇩 Fikri “famouz” Zaki
  • 🇮🇩 Rey “Vasvalizz” Pardede
  • 🇮🇩 Radya “Rapheleen“ Ramadhanta
  • 🇮🇩 Oliver “budimeisteR” Wangge
  • 🇮🇩 Thomas “Cud” Alfinantino
  • 🇮🇩 Niki “xo” Utomo (Coach)
