The players representing Kingsmen will go their separate ways as their contracts with the Singaporean organization have come to an end, the players have announced.
MALAYSIA – After a 17-month run, the team around Sirajul “Riza” Adly will dissolve, with the remaining five members going their own ways – some to seek new opportunities outside VALORANT.
Kingsmen had fielded the core of this roster for more than a year since October 2020. They quickly rose to prominence as a regular contender in the domestic MY/SG scene – qualifying for nine of the nine VCT Challengers events last year, from the first to the third Stage – but were unable to shine internationally until late in the year that they hit their stride.
The squad managed an impressive run during the last winter off-season in the Bleed eSports Christmas Showdown and the ZOTAC Cup, beating the likes of Global Esports, FULL SENSE, Enigma Gaming, and Action PH to place as runner-up in both.
However, they did not manage to retain the form in their most recent VCT MY/SG Stage 1 campaign this year. Despite being one of the favorites to advance, the Malaysians concluded their Stage 1 run in an unexpectedly low position of 19-12th after losses to Bleed eSports and Zhan Teng “shiba” Toh’s KPMOONIIBLM9 in the group stage.
In light of the team disbanding, Sirajul “Riza” Adly, Kok “1van” Hong, and Muhammad “zeeq” Shammim stated they intend to seek individual offers in the MY/SG region. Mathanraj “theDoctorr” Munisparan has found a new home in Action PH, while Ammar “nomfu” Amir has decided to retire from VALORANT to pursue other opportunities.
