Here’s how the voting system works for The VALO2ASIA Awards 2022
The Panel of Judges is comprised of twenty individuals who all showed competence, passion, and a strong dedication toward the APAC VALORANT scene in 2022. The judges were all selected after careful consideration, with our goal being to have a panel of judges that represents Asia’s vastness and diversity.
All twenty judges came from various backgrounds, from casters, analysts, former professionals, and community members from eleven different countries across the world. We always strive to represent all members of the Asian VALORANT community and, at the same time, acknowledge their unsung contributions behind the curtain.

Submitted lists by the judges were then collated to create VALO2ASIA’s 20 best APAC players, 3 best Game Changers Players, 3 best Player Personalities, and 3 best In-Game Leaders of the year. Considering how last year turned out to be a big success, we decided to continue the Top 20 players category while adding three sub-categories to acknowledge the best in the Game Changers circuit and other contributions inside and outside of the server.
Top 20 APAC Players of the Year
The top 20 list is entirely based on players’ contributions on the server over the course of VCT 2022 (VCT Stage 1 Challengers to VALORANT Champions), and not based solely on their Average Combat Score (ACS). It does not account for any external factors that may or may not have impacted their performance.
The panel of Judges has been provided with a lengthy list of players shortlisted from results across the APAC region (refer to SEA, SA, OCE, KR, JP, CN) and given one basic question: who are the greatest players in the APAC region in 2022 and rank their selection in order from 1-20, No. 1 being their choice of the best player.
Total players shortlisted: 86
- The No. 1 choice of each judge receives 20pts, No. 2 gets 19, down to 1pt for their No. 20. The total number of votes will be combined together to get a raw score.
- To qualify for the list, a player needs to collect votes from at least four (4) judges.
- If two or more players are tied on points in the scoring, the number of individual votes cast is used as a tie-breaker.
The list will be revealed five entries at a time, updated daily with five more lists until the last entry (1st-3rd).
Top 3 APAC Game Changers Players of the Year
Judges have the option of not participating in the Game Changers category. We understand that not all judges dedicate their time to following the GC scene closely. At the same time, we want to ensure that those who voted in the category are familiar with the scene and feel confident in selecting the nominees. We hope this category can create more visibility and opportunities for women in the scene and support them in their professional development.

Top 3 APAC IGLs of the Year
The brain of a team and thus a very important member to have. Often underappreciated, but the impact inside and outside of the game of an IGL is massive and thus a dedicated category for it is necessary.
