Vicky “Flynch” Rudyanto’s Le Crapaud becomes the new contender for the second split of Challengers Indonesia.
INDONESIA – Alter Ego, Dominatus, Le Crapaud, and Hike Digital have booked the final spots in VCL Indonesia Split 2. The quartet will be pitted against one another in the Regular Season, along with the top four teams from the previous split: Bigetron Arctic, BOOM Esports, ARF Team, and Dewa United.
The tournament is set to run from March 28 to June 4, with the main event being held in the bustling capital city of Jakarta. It will commence in a best-of-three single round-robin stage from March 28 to May 23, and the top six teams will then advance to the double-elimination playoffs starting May 31 and culminating in the final on Sunday, June 4.
Besides taking home the lion’s share of the tournament’s $25,000 prize pool, the winners will secure a spot at the VCT Pacific Ascension tournament, where a two-year promotion into the exclusive VCT Pacific League will be on offer.

Le Crapaud are the only new team joining the tournament this split. The four other teams were directly invited after placing in the top four during the previous split, while the remaining three teams, Alter Ego, ARF Team, and Dewa United, returned from the Promotion/Relegation Stage. Le Crapaud’s roster includes former Persija Esports player Vicky “Flynch” Rudyanto, former Alter Ego controller Axel “huliolio” Julio, and former Hike Digital player Radya “Rapheleen” Ramadhanta.
Meanwhile, the team that ranked at the bottom of Split 1, HeroZero Anubis, were unable to secure a return to the main event via the Promotion/Relegation stage, having lost in both series against Le Crapaud and 90 KG.
Previous finalists Bigetron Arctic and BOOM Esports are expected to be among the top contenders in the upcoming split. ARF Team and Dewa United have also gained attention as teams to watch out for, as they have the biggest potential to upset the gatekeepers of the competition.
Dominatus managed to perform well enough to secure their place in the next stage of the competition. With this run under their belt, it will be intriguing to see how Rayvaldo “ray4c” Chandra and co. approach the upcoming matches. With the least pressure among the other competing teams, they could potentially adopt a daring and aggressive approach, which may catch their opponents off guard.
On the other hand, Alter Ego, which could be argued to have underperformed in the previous split, will be striving to improve their results. As a part of their efforts to do so, they have made the decision to drop coach Kang “TRY” Tae-wook before Split 2.
