The all-female lineup that was formerly known as Asteria has departed from Velocity Gaming, with the players becoming free agents again.
INDIA — Asteria will once again seek backing after parting ways with Velocity Gaming. The all-female team has expressed their desire to remain together heading into the upcoming VCT Game Changers APAC Stage 2 under the Asteria banner until they find a new tag to represent.
Neha “CaspeR” Sottany and co. joined the ranks of Velocity Gaming just two weeks before the commencement of VCT Game Changers SEA – FSL Elite, placing 5th-6th in the region’s most important Game Changers tournament last year.

The news marks an end to a five-month association with the all-female squad. “Thank you VLT Asteria for being part of Velocity Gaming. Velocity Gaming wishes everyone all the best for their future endeavors.” the organization announced in a brief statement.
The roster, currently playing as Asteria, has no significant tournaments lined up for the rest of March following their elimination from the first stage of VCT APAC Game Changers. They managed to knock Nigma Galaxy Female out of the Game Changers contention before ultimately falling to The Capitol Arise in a dismal 1-13 loss in the lower final of Group D.
The players are looking for a new organization to represent ahead of VCT Game Changers APAC Open 2, kicking off on April 2nd. Interested parties can reach the team on Twitter.
